anyway, not much i can do about it as a thompson owner

Probably for Mannering. Maybe he's going to get a bit of a spell to ease him back in. I wouldn't worry about Bodene, I hope.

Is anyone keeping an eye on JBrom for next week? He's scores have been average this season but will have great bye coverage, has had a chance to rest up niggles/injuries and will be wanting to put big performances in.

Wow we started part 43 on the second of July last year and it's not even June and we'll be up to 44 by then.

    Great stuff everyone!

I find it hard to see Brown playing, especially when there is no concrete info at all. He's named though and really IMO, Brown isn't one of these game breaker players (ala JT) that BA would name to play mind tricks on the opposition. It's very strange.

Yep but will have to string a couple together before I bring him in

I hear he's been focusing on hitting the right lines lately, so he could come good.

Any suggestions for a 3rd trade would be appreciated.

I've pretty much locked in CHN - Gallen and McGuire - Graham. This will leave me with 20 trades remaining. Only 23k in the bank.

Assuming Brown plays, I'll have 12 playing (although Field's score is probably hardly worth counting). I think I want to keep both Smith and Macca. I considered a Ponga to Semi trade but I don't think there'll be much longer term benefit and they way Semi has been scoring, I'm not convinced it will be worth having him over the bye rounds either. The other option is to bank the trade, play the 12 and take a hit this round.

Team including the two trades this week is:

    Smith McCullough
    Graham Brown Wallace Leota
Gallen Surgess Whitehead Crichton Elliot JDB
    Johnson Walker Lamb Field
    Cotric Fuimaono SMat J.Folau
    RTS Hayne Slater Ponga Burns.

    Cheers.

What's your thought process behind holding Ponga. I was all for it also until today. I don't think the benefit of having 374K sitting there on the off chance that Coote might get injuried down the track. Thinking Ponga to Semi myself.

I initially planned to hold him, expecting him to make it back into the team, however that's probably less likely unless Coote goes down again etc. He's there because I've been making other trades. Basically he's not a priority for me at the moment. I might look to trade him for teddy or someone else down the track.

This was pretty much my thinking until today haha. You've got a great team, if you want to keep Smith and Macca you could hold, or the only one there I'd also look at getting rid of is Hayne, but with 23K, there's not much to work with there.

ive reversed all my trades again and decided to bite the bullet and take a bit of a risk this year in trading out smith, as uncomfortable as it is but means i can hold fifita theoritically.

brought in friend for smith - who i can cope with as my 2nd hooker and swap brailey for smith in coming rounds saving a trade.

hoppa for turbo and graham for CHN, banking 132k in the process - probably for mcguire to gallen next week.

somehow now have 17 players this week - fingers crossed on brown.

It will be hard not to trade Brown if he's a late scratching on game day.

spuds you are running with 18 strong players in an ordinary week. you have the option of choosing a reserve from elliot/wallace most weeks which is a nice problem to have

i would try and bring in one more player for points while also cashing out.
i would do lamb to f.brown, or ponga to beale. this gives you prep money to turn hayne into someone good faster than a lot of other teams

I'd consider doing the same thing if I was in your position. It's only really one extra trade.

Beale is an interesting choice. Cheaper than Semi and still plays 2 bye rounds.

Beale plays every week and is averaging 17. Will be an AE nightmare. Don't do it.

Think I have decided to hold Aubusson for now and instead trade out Norman for CWalker

    Smith McInnes
    Graham James Brown Fai
JDB Surgess Mannering Crichton Elliot Fuimaono
    SJ CWalker Niko Hampton
    BJ Aubusson Kelly Idris
    RTS Slater Hayne Suli Phythian

Leaves me with 228k in the bank so I think I'll cash out Niko next week and possibly bring in Munster for Suli. Anyone have any recommendations?

interesting discussion on jbrommich. need more r15/18 players.

would it actually be worth considering him as cash or trade out for wallace or mcguire?

How many of my trades should I be using over the byes?
Have 22 so if i max trade on the big byes ill have 13 left by the end. If i max trade on all of the bye rounds ill have 7 for the run in.
