    i would try and bring in one more player for points while also cashing out.
    i would do lamb to f.brown, or ponga to beale. this gives you prep money to turn hayne into someone good faster than a lot of other teams

    Thanks for the advice. I'm not keen on bringing in Beale but downgrading Lamb to someone like nu Brown is worth considering. He should get a bit of a run over the origin rounds and not be an AE concern down the track. Although I'm wanting to trade to maximise bye round points, in the past when there's nothing screaming at me to trade I've generally banked the trade and it's worked well for me so far.

    Have 22 so if i max trade on the big byes ill have 13 left by the end. If i max trade on all of the bye rounds ill have 7 for the run in.

    You playing overall or H2H?

    If overall, then you sound have your final 17 together in rd20. From then you only really need trades for injuries and suspensions, maybe a couple spare for sideways trades for an extra few points.

    Should be able to survive on less than 7 trades from 20 onwards. Until every gun gets injured at least

    Feels like one of my trades should be a max cash out with bye usefulness.

    Option A:
    Smith > Friend
    Yates > Gallen
    Norman > CWalker leaves me with 59k

    Option B:
    Smith > Friend
    Yates > Gallen
    Norman > Nu Brown leaves me with 335k

    Option B gives me max flexibility for coming weeks aswell as assists me in bye planning and killing off a spot once the byes are done.

    Am i thinking along the right lines.

    would it actually be worth considering him as cash or trade out for wallace or mcguire?

    Yep. I'm looking at this for Wallace who's going down in price soon and I reckon will be likely for origin 2 or 3 anyway as one of the guys to "blood in".

    I don't think there's a magic number. Depends on how lucky you are with injuries on run home and what level of risk you want to take. I wouldn't be trading for the sake of trading because they are bye rounds. The quality of players you have is generally more important than the amount of players you can field.

    As I am still undecided on who I will Captain this week I decided to take a look at several players averages vs their round 12 opponent. I decided to focus upon their last 3 game average against their rd 12 opponent and their last 3 game average of where they will be playing. It is as follows...

    Player = 3 round avg vs opponent = 3 round avg at stadium

    Friend = 46 = 61
    Graham = 51 = yet to play at venue
    Gallen = 60 = 52
    Surgess = 66 = 67
    Mannering = 58 = 58
    Johnson = 47 = 56

    Who's your other hooker? I like the Gallen trade. If you bring in CWalker, would you be wanting to keep him? If so, I'd rather Walker's points now rather than nu browns.

    Also, with the Smith to Friend trade, are you wanting to get Smith back in your side later on and have you considered how you'll fund it?

    If you get Nu Brown instead if CWalker, can you still field 2 good halves in non bye rounds? Or would you need to upgrade someone else next week.
    The extra cash from Brown is probably worth the points difference compared to Walker in any case.

    Off topic, but went to Sydney FC vs Liverpool tonight.

    Probably the quietest crowd of 72,000 you'll ever see. I've been at Sydney Tigers games with 3000 people at Parra Stadium that generated more atmosphere.

    I guess about what you'd expect in a post-season friendly when one of the teams flew in on game day and played a 45 year old.

    Halves are Milf, Niko, Frawley and Norman, would look to upgrade Niko to perhaps Munster with the cash I save getting NuBrown in.

    Smith will be brought back in via Brailey and some of that cash from this round will go towards that obviously.

    Hi Liverpool Bulldog, it's Stew here. Stew thinks you should trade bin dipping for busking. It's a more respected way to put food on the table.

    Stew tried busking once. His favourite was that Whim O Wey song, but he kept forgetting the lions...

    Honestly 7 overall for the run home isn't bad, but I wouldn't necessarily use the trades just because you have them. Like don't trade someone out one week and back in the next just because of byes.
