@Archer It'll be hard to watch knowing the score, but I think you missed the first half of Origin? It is definitely worth watching a replay through the pain, deadset the quickest half of Origin I can remember personally. Faultless League.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 45
Just like every year origin comes down to bench impact. Queensland didn't have anyone on the bench that could save them when the momentum was all NSW. Smith did really well to take momentum from NSW on the 2nd tackle of the Blues first set but once the Blues got it back it was game over. Meanwhile NSW bench had game changers that could come on and wrestle back momentum. Klemmer came on and made some great runs when the Blues were backed up in their own end. Graham moving from right to left improved the structure and he had a great touch to put Tedesco in space. JTurbo is still one of the best ruck controllers in the game. Would like to see more of him as the A defender leading the line. Bird had very minimal impact but the game was already over when he came on. Woods was a marshmallow stifling the attack with his slow runs that don't bend the line, slow play the balls and landing on his back. I would drop him for Vaughan. Meanwhile Queensland need to sure up the middle and provide some bench impact. Myles was good except for when he had to handle Fifita one on one. Something like
8.Myles
9.Smith
10.Napa
11.Cooper
12.Gillett
13.McGuire
14.Morgan
15.Papalli
16.Wallace
17.Thaiday
Need that impact coming off the bench to turn the game

I have 19 trades left before trading this week. Seems to be more than most at this stage.Loomer wrote:
Abbey out is a wasted trade unless you have buckets of trades left
Round 18 is my weak bye round so this will get it up a couple of players.
As for the loophole, I didn't need to use it last round so still waiting on my first time to use it.

Nice team! Where are you ranked mate?
Whitehead to Lolo would be my suggestion. Or Merrin if you feel like playing it a bit more risky and think you could use the extra cash this week or next for an upgrade. I'm thinking a Cotric upgrade wouldn't be a bad option before round 15?
Yeah my I want lolo in the end, I'm just worried about Brown losing cash this week or not playing. I'm rank 625 and pretty keen to preserve this. Who would you upgrade Cotric to though? No one really standing out atm. Cheers

That's probably enough. I'd sell RTS if I was getting Edwards. Might do next week

I was thinking Hayne due to his poor scoring at centre

Why is everyone so keen on keeping Hayne around?

I was thinking Hayne, has RTS got two byes?
The 2 worst byes...15 and 18. I'm not even considering shipping him out personally though, and that is coming from a heavy bye planner. His last 8 scores:
62
58
49
44
57
9
29
43
The 9 kills his averages. Only 2 tries in those 8 scores. Warriors tend to come in to form over Origin. I could be wrong, but RTS could be averaging just as well as ever when taking into account his lack of tries.

Holy smoke how good was last nights game ?!?!
That was near faultless back and forth all night and with such pace! Great win by the blues, Fifita was an absolute monster.

Yeah not sure, I just think he is at peak value now so worth a switch to someone that could be a POD and also has better bye coverage. I listed a few with an earlier post in response to a different team but perhaps guys like Hopoate, Hurrell, D Walker?? Maybe Walker could be the best option there as he is looking pretty solid now with Manly improving, kicks goals, ave 40+ and has already had one bye. But Im just thinking off the top of my head mate.
I guess for me Cotric has been great thus far but I don't see any more upside and with 2 byes to come I reckon if u want to improve your ranking u should switch to someone else.
Good luck! I think if you make the right decisions with a team like that you will climb the rankings from here!

I don't think RTS is a sell right now. Warriors are a confidence team and will have it in their minds they will go well over the Origin period. Warriors go well, then RTS will too. Best to hold off for a bit I reckon and see how he tracks. If you ditch him now and he goes well everyone else has him and you'll slide down the rankings.
That being said if you are confident he's a sell then thats a massive POD not having him.... I think its pretty risky though!

Looks like Whitehead and Abbey out for Merrin and Edwards, costs me 80k leaving me with 320k and 17 trades left for the season. Not sure I should be missing out on Munster though.

Re: 2017 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 45
Hey guys, Origin is too bloody late for me in NZ when I have to get up at 6:00 (baby daughter). I watched some of the first half and it was great footy, but can someone please tell me if there are any injury/susension issues to come out of the game?
Who put that swinging arm on Fifita midway thorough the first half? I didn't see for sure but I thought it looked like McGuire. Is he in danger of being put up in front of the judiciary?
Anything else worth commenting on fantasy wise?
Wallace in next game? Slater too maybe?
Cheers.

With that many trades I like that mate, although 2 penrith guys in and them having the bye in 15, is it worth spending the extra $ and getting Lolo now and Merrin round 16? Cant remember if you already have Lolo though...

H
Just not a fan of buying high. Unless somehow he's aiming to be 600k soon
Yeah that is getting to me in the back of my mind. I feel like I should stick with my bye planning strategy. Perhaps the better trades this week are based around Rd15.Rippin and Tearin wrote:

Was it your Rd 12 gain that made you rethink your byes trading strategy mate? From memory you were looking at your trades only for your final team a
couple of weeks ago?

I don't think I've mentioned final team SI, at least I don't think I have . I was a but miffed about missing a few guys for RD12 but it turned out okay in the end made up about 1500 places, with the amount of trades I have I think it would be silly not to give it a good crack.

Yeah, it was probably the fact you had so many trades left then but didn't increase your Round 12 numbers.
You are still in a better position than 90% of players. Trade heavy over the next 5 rounds and make up even more ground, and you will still have more trades left than most for the run home.
