Funnily enough I'm bringing Munster in this week. Not sold on him at all but I have both Frawley and Niko in need of milking. Munster seems the best choice for me in regards byes but I am not confident. My hope is that he goes back to fullback when Slater plays Origin but not sure that will happen.

The risk with Munster is what game plan the Storm go in with in any particular game. He's had a couple of quiet games because the game plan was to attack the opposite edge thereby starving him of ball. But as you say mate he's worth a punt because he's very talented & can still score well no matter what the game plan. It's interesting that only the Storm, Eels & Souths play both rounds 15 & 18 so if you want good bye coverage then you should pick from those teams.

True. Hoping he ends up at fullback for a couple to negate that.

It's funny how bye planning can over ride your gut-I DON'T actually want Munster and I DON'T actually want to trade out Bodene, but I am doing both those this week due to byes.

With my current bank roll I am currently about $50k short of turning RTS, Slater, Hayne into Munster, Teddy, Cleary over the next 3 weeks.

So with the lowest projected cash, Munster can wait a week and I'll see if I can try and bring in Cleary /Teddy this week and try the others in coming weeks. Probably I'll need another downgrade somewhere (Cotric - Leilua is one I am looking at)

Thinking of Cleary over Teddy - both miss 15, but Teddy also misses 18, and has an origin game (with potential injury) coking as well. Also not too sure how Teddy will go against his future employers this week.

Other halves I'd consider as parnter for SJ for the run home

Pearce (expensive, and not until really an option until after origin)
Thurston (has to prove he is over injury before considering)
Widdop (don't trust him to sustain his scoring long term)
Norman (good byes but injury concerns, if I don't get Cleary this week and Norman is fit for round 15 then he will become an option)
DCE (most likely other candidate, but I think Blake Green has harmed his scoring a little and he is a bit down on his peak)

Niko>Munster is done leaves me 14 trades and 89k Can't decide on whether to do Cotric>Edwards for the extra bye. Is he nailed. What I don't like is 3 DPP WFB all at CTR and none at WFB. I figure I needed 9 trades for final team which leaves me 4 for injuries which is what I plan for

Something puts me off Vaughan because of his lack of big minutes. I played Wallace & F. Kaufusi last week & they matched & bettered his score.

A lot of people resting Hayne but at Fullback I'd be inclined to play him. Cotric can make 10 points out of a nothing play and verse the Panthers could be an open game. My 2 cents anyway.

As a side note, looking at Hopper he is travelling well isn't he considering he hasn't scored all year. Good POD if the Dogs come good.

I think the most likely killer of Edwards is Cartwright returning and bumping Moylan back to fullback.

This may be a way off but the last thing you want is Carty coming back rd 23, forcing Edwards out of first grade, when you are out of trades and can't replace him.

There's also the possibility that someone like Hiku forces his way back into the team. In general I think Edwards might be OK for security though

Devling into the storm for rounds 15 and 18 and grabbing JBrom for Ese'ese. Tends to be unbreakable and should average 40 or so from here til end of days. May not be a top gun but the kid is a braveheart and will be 18th man for me at the worst (a new hope.. trying to avoid very bad things)

Whitehead and Podene and a third person will turn into the good, the bad and the ugly next round then I think the focus will trying to snatch up a few good men.

Yeah the halves are a real problem. I have SJ & he's playing crap atm. The only sure fire bet is Pearce but he's top dollar. His price should come down though with a b/e of 65 so by round 20 when I will get him he hopefully should be under 500k. The rest like Milford, B. Hunt, JT, Cleary, Norman, Widdop, Munster & Gutherson are just stabs in the dark.

I agree re Hayne. People who have players that are up against the Warriors in any given week should play them as it's easy points. On Hopoate I had him last year & he seems to pick up fantasy points without you noticing & seems to have the knack like my sharona.

    Who's everyone captaining?

I'm Smithless at the moment, so I'm tossing up between Gallen, Taumalolo, Surgess, Taupau or Mannering (not considering Friend with Pearce back).

If you had to choose someone to trade for Fifita out of Wallace and ET, who would you go with? Like Cotric and Sione I'm aiming to upgrade one of them but there's very little separating the two of them, 0.4 points on average.

Wallace has the DPP factor which allows flexibility and ET has more cash to use but I don't know. I'll probably end up keeping one of them for the whole year. Too many upgrades to make in other areas and not enough trades to make them.

That's a tough one all right. Any of them could go big. I think against the Storm Gallen will play big minutes & go the best. Based on fixtures Taupau against the Knights is the one to go for.

Why are people bringing Edwards in now?

Do you expect him to be a keeper? Earn $100k+ and you have the trades up the sleeve to use him as a money maker or just for bye purposes?

Can't the same be said for Lolohea? I cant see how either of them will become keepers and by the time they have made money, trades will be very precious.

Agree. People bringing Lolo in on the back of one good score. This does happen for many trades but usually closer to the start of the season where you can afford to take more of a risk.

Then again, you gotta take a risk somewhere if you're struggling at this stage of the season.
