Still using the old Magic Number guys so some of the numbers will be off.

Seems we need a pretty major capitulation of the top teams for any of us to have a shot at winning this thing now. Im in 6th but ~250 points behind 1st. I was all set to make my move that last round with 17 guys starting before 2 pulled out with late injuries and then several chimed in with well below average scores. So it wasn't to be Sad

Im just hoping for a top ten finish now....

This round has me dreaming of a top 50 finish, currently 57th. I think I need mannering but do I bring him in for Elliot or merrin? Thinking of Cashing out dwalker and having a pool of centres wfb of Crichton, Tyrell, Scott, Munster, cwalker, turbo, hayne and Guth.

Id bring him in for Elliot. And yup, depending on your trade situation I'd certainly be looking to cash out one of your C/WFBs , maybe 2 if it means you can bring in another gun.

That said, D Walker in a day game at home to Wests is surely worth a consideration as a POD starter this round?

Eliminators now up... I would assume alot of teams remaining would have very similar team templates.

    POD's (Me vs them):

McCullough vs Fui (or if they trade Tolman to someone else)
    JTrbo vs Fifita
    Taupau vs Wallace
    Mansour vs Rapana
    Calker vs Hayne

I've got a fairly high profile opponent this week......President Donald J Trump!

POD's for our match up are (me vs. them):

    Burgess vs. Mannering
    Macca vs. JTurbo
    McInnes vs. Gillett
    TTurbo vs. Teddy
    CWalker vs. Croker
    Lachlan Fitz vs. Moylan
    DWalker vs. Esan Masters
    Cotric vs. Brian Kelly
    SMat vs. Nobody

Not sure if he will be able to trade an extra player to make up a full 17 but he also has Paul Vaughan and Milf if they end up getting a guernsey.
On the flip side he has 3 SOO players backing up compared to my none....so let's hope it is a brutal encounter!

I also have Lamb in the wings if need be and am looking to unleash all 3 trades - possibly one or two downgrades to NPR's and maybe bringing in Mannering??

I captained Mannering in eliminator so good start so far.

Our POD's of Mansour and Rapana cancelled each other out so it'll come down to:

    Me: 83 + McCullough + Gallen + Taupau

    Them: Fifita + Gallen (c) + Wallace

I have 18 playing this week.

VC on Gallen, C on Taumalolo, NuBrown's 32 is my current AE.

If I loophole I would sub Fuiamono out of my team. If Taumalolo + Fui than 120 I'll be ahead.
Taumalolo has had a few monster scores this year, so not a risk free proposition.

Would anyone loop in this scenario?

Also posted on the fantasy thread for no response, but might check here too.

Is Cam Smith in any sort of doubt for next week? Thinking of bringing him in tomorrow, allowing me to use my 2 trades next week on Pearce and Fifita.
Might just do it anyway - I want Smith in eventually anyway - and given he'll be coming in for Friend I'm not really losing a scorer if Smith doesn't play

With Gallen's score of 88, I vote yes for loophole and you wouldn't think that Cam Smith will be in any doubt at all next week, perfect time for him to have the bye.

Well despite taking advice from people I am competing with, I have gone and done the loop this morning.
At least in this comp, if Taumalolo does go big I at least get his score to count once after looping.

Every chance Fui will score less than NuBrown and count for my score anyway.

Barring further injury today, next week's trades are SJ - Pearce and Wallace/Merrin to Fifita

If Ma'u doesn't play next week may need to replace him instead, so hopefully he is good to go.

Its not like they are pushed for time. They could ditch round 13 and 16 as well, which would have stuffed a few people up.

Good luck to anyone left in.

It's good that you loopholed mate. I had a chance to loophole Mannering but because my AE was J.Hayne's fricken 12, I went with J.Trbojevic as captain. Thank goodness he scored a try but he still won't make 50. So if you got an 88 as captain and a reasonable AE, always take the loophole.................................

Bloody Taupau 4 short... he may update to 42 but can't take the risk so I've switched my reserves and I'll now need CWalker to outscore Fui by 4 points or more.
