Reposting from end of last thread

Don't listen to SI, he knows how to loophole like he knows how to post a gif.

If your captain is a 2RF and you have 6 playing 2RFs on your bench it is no problem.

You can still sub your captain out for any of your 2RFs that are yet to play.

Your captain can't be a reserve, so all you need to do is select a new 4th reserve from another position.

What will stop you from loopholing is if you have 5 reserves that will score points. You only get 1 AE so if your captain isn't the lowest score not seletced in your 17 then you'll be stuffed.
Liverpool_Bulldog is in this position this week - less than 17 players, but no halves so can't select a full 17.

Thanks guys Smile first year back doing fantasy since 2012 and ranked 252 at the moment. I got up to 151 a couple of weeks ago but injuries and poor captain choices have burnt me the past 3 weeks Sad

Actually debating VC'ing Crichton over Surgess this week but unsure yet.

    Welcome Milf

Both this forum and the Facebook groups have about the same ratio of fantasy advice to filler.

But the facebook groups have a lot of insults and bickering, whereas we have quality banter

    I am VC'ing Crichton tonight.

He and Surgess both have that ability to go large so its pot luck really.

Captain Gallen is a safe enough fallback option either way

Haha ok no worries I'll check it out. Usually I just listen to the podcasts on the NRL site and DailyTelegraph and such.

I have McInnes as my captain at the moment but Gal against the Tigers is tempting if Crichton/Burgess don't score well...

Sounds good Milch, Crichton was my other choice rather than Surgess. Flip of the coin really

Souths should put in a solid performance verse the Titans tonight. Without Sir Don the Titans will crumble. He is the the structural glue that holds their side together. While unlikely there have been rumors that there might be a late reshuffle to the Souths lineup which could benefit Walker owners if true. Still unsure whether to VC Surgess or Crichton? Either could cross for a meat pie and pump out another 70 plus score.

So if I have 13 players this round, vc on S. Burgess and captain Gallen.
Then if S. burgess scores big tonight, I can sub out Gallen with one of my other second rowers where he becomes a reserve, then I get burgess as a captain loophole?
    Thanks guys.

With Sami looking like replacing Don we'll now have a Semi & a Sami. If Sami is marking up on Burns he could score well.

    [right][right]

Gallen can't become a reserve - he can only be an NPR.

If Burgess goes big and you want to loophole

    Sub Gallen for reserve 2RF.
Make sure you have 4 reserves selected, and that Gallen is the only NPR who will take the field.
    Gallen will become AE

Crichton more chance of playing 80 minutes. Surgess could easily play 60-65 if the Bunnies are smashing them.

While I have never actually performed the loophole I believe once you sub out your Captain he cannot be reserved, rather his score will be collected as an AE of the NPR you sub into your side to take the Captains place. So for example if your VC goes big sub out Gallen for an NPR (someone like Mannering or another player who won't be playing this week) ensuring you have 4 reserves in place before you save the changes.
