i think RCG just needs to maintain form to wrap up one bench prop spot to me, 4th spot looks wide open
i agree on wade graham, i didn't really notice him in either of games against the poms. he is obviously got enough ability but his brain farts can be costly and did cost us in game 2 directly
i also think we overplay his versaility a bit because he came into grade as a half, he isn't that guy anymore, could maybe still play there at a pinch but you'd think both cordner and jackson are more likely to fill in at other position (hooker, centre etc) if injuries did occur
i think korisau was awesome for manly last year, i think if he keeps playing like that, then he is qualifies as putting his hand up but i'm just not sure he is an 80 minute origin hooker, tho i don't think peats is either which is why i would be open to 2 hookers
Ah yes I vaguely remember that.....in fairness though, NSW and NZ both have the word 'New' in their title and are both in utter disarray, so I'm claiming an understandable error there.
RCG has moments of brilliance but then he seems to disappear too, definite prospect though.

So, according to Pieman, not only did they fit Cronk under the cap when they signed him, they have a million to spend from releasing Pearce but also now an extra, what, $300k from releasing Gordon?

Theres no way they fit Cronk under the cap. They were always going to have to release players to fit him in.

Re: Cronk/Pearce Watch
Yes mate, that free's up even more money to spend before they will be cap compliant.
Its vandetta is making you look like even more of a goose as usual Ryney. The roosers were the ones that were coming out and suggesting that they could fit all 3 (Pearce, Cronk and Keary) under the cap - I was just repeating what was being reported. Apparently we arent allowed to do that according to Pieno ??
I was saying saying in the original post how ridiculous it was that they have such a gun roster yet would be under the cap by too much ..
The michael gordon thing clearly isnt them releasing someone to fit Cronk in. Its because he was close to retiring, is from the area and wants to move home. That's common knowledge in these parts down south mate. Not to mention the titans being able to table a fucking good offer to lure him to the GC for a year now Hayne isnt there.
Also, they have signed Reece Robinson (lol) and are clearly prepared to dump a massive wod on Crighton .. so whats ya problem??
Odd

The roosters have signed Reece Robinson so that cancels out Gordon

Re: Cronk/Pearce Watch
i really don't think either the michael gordon move (which is clearly just because he may have a more prominent role at the titans and the roosters are happy to let him go because its whats best for him) or 2 guys who were already signed for 2018 extending their stay from 2019 on wards really provides any clarification on the original debate.

Re: Cronk/Pearce Watch
i thought the reason that Maloney wasn't able to be officially announced until a few days ago despite the Moylan/Maloney player swap happening at the start of November was that Penrith had to make moves (ie. releasing Latu) to get him in under the cap for next year?
If that was the case, the Roosters were able to announce Cronk before making any of these other moves

The NRL wouldnt have registered the Cronk deal if it put the club disgustingly over the cap

What in the history of the NRL makes you think they wouldn't make concessions to ensure the highest profile free-agent in the history of the NRL doesn't either retire or go to a shitty market?
If you think that signing both Tedesco and Cronk didn't put them over the cap, you're beyond help.

Just going off what was reported mate
And again, originally, my point was getting at how ridiculous the cap situation is at the roosters. Not sure what you don't understand about that.
Also, harping on about salary cap is farrrrking rich coming from a Donkey fan

You would think so. But the NRL put a hold on Foran/Woods till cap space was cleared so it's reasonable to assume that the Cronk deal was under the cap or all reports to say he has signed are bullshit or at least not reported as openly as Canterbury's situation.
OR the NRL are openly favouring the Roosters ?
Which is it ?

I _would_ never suggest such a thing. *glances at draw*. Hmmm. Well. Maybe.
Not so much favouring the

A brisbane fan whining about another club having a good draw and their salary cap - I wish I could give it more than one thumbs up. Farking priceless
