If you have the money then Croft to SJ or Cleary IMO is safer that DCE. But DCE seems like a good option if you are tight on $. Also important IMO to look at least 1 week down the track to see how you are going to afford the guys you want next week. So the money saved by going to DCE might be required.

Keep Bromwich, dump Scott. I'd go TPJ assuming you already have Lodge. I think Mannering will be back next week and that might change things for Sao. Also even now Sao is not really scoring well enough to put in your 17, so he just becomes a CC with a questionable future.

thanks RnT for the feedback Smile

    Can someone just remind me:

Is it the case that in this comp you can't reverse trades once the round has started ?

but you can trade once the round has started ?

    Cheers

Relevant for my potential Aubs to Matterson trade. Will hold off until the day if I can.

    CANCEL that!! From the rules:

You can edit your entire team list while a round is not in progress, and, with the rolling lockout, players may be traded, substituted, named Captain/Vice Captain/Reserve, up until the time of the start of their team's actual match. Players are locked into your team only at the time that their real match has started. You can also view each player's scoring and performance breakdown, in team Analyser view.

Trades can be reversed right up until the start of the FIRST match of each round. Once the round and rolling lockout is under way, you can no longer reverse any trades.

I am going with the Aubs to RST, I cant get Cleary in but can ditch Croft for DCE , JT or Widdop - my initial leaning was towards DCE but if I go with JT it would give me more funds for future trades, I really love these decisions - I reckon Widdop would be the least volatile of the three scratch scratch scratch

I think I will hold off on Aubbs to Matterson until Sunday if I can.

Just have to remember to actually make the trade.

I've gone Croft to DCE (I had JT in there right up until today though). I just think DCE is more likely a keeper and perhaps a few points per round on average better than JT . The goal kicking helps his cause a lot! I don't think he'll be at the Cleary SJ level, but he might be the 3rd best half this year and that will do me until round 13 anyway. Im started getting a little nervous about JTs production with Morgan back too....

Subs to RTS I think is a good trade, especially if you have a semi decent C to use and you were playing a shitty 3rd WFB.

If its not too late, the other reason I liked DCE over JT is Manly's nice run of games up to round 8: Souths (A), Canberra (H), Titans (A), Wests (H), Eels (A), Newc (H)

I had no-one playing last night so in a mean way, it was a good start to the round for me with (C)am not firing (no bad either), JT struggling, and Croft going average again. All in all making me feel good at this stage about going Croft to DCE instead of Croft to JT.

By the way guys, Taumololo after this round will be priced at about $685k with a BE of >100 from what I can see. That will mean in two rounds time he could ell be priced around $600k. If thats the case are you guys gonna jump on? or are his scores scaring you off. I guess the benefit of this game is that we basically have 2 rounds to watch and see if he can turn things around a bit.

Last night he played 58 minutes but had zero attacking stats. That's unlikely to happen again I would think. Even still What do you think is value for Tolo? Is he a 55 point player this year?

Last thought after last nights game, with Kaufusi out (and I have no idea for how long) and Stimson looking good for ~40 average and a BE of <0 for next week. Anyone keen on jumping on?

Im gonna keep my options open but he could be a nice cheap CC upgrade for someone like Rochow or Kikau if either struggles this round, Nicholls (if you still have him), or even a down grade for an underperforming mid-ranger.

Anyone have thoughts on Stimson or alternatively info on Kaufusi?

At this stage of the season my dilemma is always who not to bring in vs options of who to bring in. Watch list currently includes but not limited to: Murray, RTS, Stimson, Thompson, JMK.

I think Lodge is a must have - for some he could be 1 of 2 starting FRFs but at worst he is an excellent option as a researve given the minutes he is getting. He's gonna make a ton of $ as well. So  in short I'd go option 1 out of those.

Not convinced about RTS yet, for many its gonna be either him or TTrbo to partner Teddy and Ponga. The reason Im not convinced is that IMO his scores seem (can any one check?) highly correlated with the Warriors performance and while the Warriors look better this year, Im not convinced they are going to end up much better in the long run. Im happy to wait on RTS too at the moment.

I personally think Aubs is a must sell, unless you have bigger problems, so I like that trade out.

Rochow? Im happy to hold him for now. Last week was a shocker fantasy wise for him. Surely he doesn't miss that many tackles again?

Nicholas on the other hand is the more likely player to be daed weight.

Have you considered Nichols to Lodge and perhaps Aubs to Matterson? instead of RTS? who's your back 3 currently?

Murray looks like a must have too, but Im gonna wait one more week on him, partly because Im using my trades elsewhere, but also it wouldn't be a bad idea to take one more look at him. His price is unlikely to shift to dramatically.

Thanks RnT, excellent advice as always. Matterson is a better shout imo than RTS. Although I am not sure of your logic re RTS' scores and the Warriors form. Could it be the Warriors form is good because RTS is going (and scoring) well rather than the other way around? Still, I have already got SJ and Hiku, so that's enough Warriors backs for sure.

I'd prefer to sell Nicholls but need the extra cash from Rochow to grab Lodge. I am $4,400 short of Nicholls-Lodge and Aubs-Matterson. So now thinking Rochow-Lodge and Aubs-Matterson.

Current team is, if you can see any other options:

    Smith, Cook
    Fifita, Surgess, Rochow, Nicholls
Merrin, Whitehead, Arrow, RFM, Kikau, Griffin
    SJ, JT, Cartwright, Croker
    Aubs, GI, Douelhi, Isaako
    Teddy, Ponga, Latrell, Hiku, Katoa

No R,nT I opted for JT to save the cash mate and didnt get to watch the game and arrived home late to JT,s 17 Shocked , Capt Cam,s 54 and NAS 59, so now I want Surgess to smash DCE early lol Evil or Very Mad ,( only joking ), is JT ok ie no injury concerns ???

Bugger! On the plus side, despite Croft getting a few more points than JT last night, the trade is still well worth it. JT's price will remains unchanged after last night while Crofts will plummet by ~$70k or so.

No injury concerns as far as I know but I only watched the first half. JT played out the 80 according to the stats. In the first half he had 3 errors from memory and a couple were not really his fault. I stand to be corrected on this but one of them was for a one-on-one strip which he partially achieved in that he stripped the ball out but a melbourne player regathered which I think means technically JT had the ball then lost it which constitutes an error in the stat book. I think another error happened when Chambers put a chip kick ahead which kinda fell in no mans land, JT purposefully kicked the ball so that JAC couldn't get it, trying to kick it back to Hampton but it ended up Croft regathering. Another error credited to JT.

Anyway, I think from a fantasy perspective JT's score was a unlucky.

That;s a bit of a bugger isn't it. You gotta get Lodge IMO and you gotta dump Aubs. So either you do as you suggest and switch out Rochow or the alternative which I think wouldn't be a bad crack would be to go Aubs to Thompson via Mitchell. It's a riskier play in the sense that its always a gamble on WFBs but if Thompson gets the FB spot for a couple more weeks you'd think he will make some serious coin. The biggest advantage though would be that you would have some $ ITB to help for an upgrade next week.

Im not sure mate, it's a tough call. Rochow could be a bust in which case dumping him for Lodge would be a great call, but I can't help but feel he is much better than his last weeks score and will make money over the next 6 weeks. While Nicholls is basically wasted space right now in a position where there is a ton of value....

50-50 call mate, no pressure but your season depends on it Smile

As for RTS... yeah who knows aye. I just felt last year, as an RTS owner for the whole season, he was trying his guts out but the Warriors were just so crap he kept getting pumped for MT s when he was the last line of defence when opposition scored tries and he just didn't get anything like the space on attack he got last week.

Yeah I'm tossing up between Matto and Fergo for the centre position - like the fact Fergo has jagged 38 and 32 points just from running metres the last two games (with no long range tries in that either).

Plus the shittest teams in the comp at the moment (IMO) are the Dog's, Sharks and Rabbits - which he gets to play in the next few rounds so could add some nice attacking scores to that base.

Halves wise I'm now leaning towards Cleary, who has a similarly good run against the dud teams.

Why trade out Katoa? Isn't he back soon(ish)

I've got him and am keeping him. He is bottom dollar allowing me to free up the maximum possible cash for you starting 17 and CCs. When I look at my team as a whole, trading him to someone else might make some cash in the short term but it hurts in the pocket (even if its only $80k u would have to tie up in Sami). Also, I've found its like Russian Roulette trying to pick WFB / C CCs. What do you think Sami is gonna average? If he averages 35 and you time it well you'll make $170k on two trades. I guess it depends on the makeup of your team, but for me I had more pressing issues to resolve and way more productive ways to use $80k and 2 trades.

That being said, if I was gonna trade for someone in the WFB position to make $ it'd be Thompson. I'd make sure I was paying up for him to fill a slot in my back 3 though....

I want to start making as much cash as possible straight away and don't want to wait a few more weeks for Katoa. Besides, Sharks wingers usually score crap so I wish I never started with him.

I won't be playing Sami/Kennar/Thompson as I have Teddy, Ponga and Dufty so going Sami (who looks to rise at a similar price to Kennar/Thompson, seems the best trade to me because he's cheaper and it will allow me to get SJ next week for Croft.
