Other glaring holes are AREY but I think he will come good, Bryce Whythefkdidipicku, L Croker, and GI who I hope returns to FB ASAP, any advice would be appreciated, Cheers.

Its open how is SST>Griffin and Croft to S Williams sound guys , it really boosts the coffers for next week?

I'd definitely go SST -> Griffin if it means you can upgrade Croft -> SJ or Cleary, who would basically be keepers for the rest of the year.

Yeah looks like the plan , leaning towards SJ as Cleary more than likely be Origin bound.

Such a contrast to NRLF. Almost too many options over here! That probably means I won't even trade lol. I'm happy with my team balance, trust that some of my underperformers will do better this week (cough Gallen, Teddy), and I got some of the requisite cash cows. Short of trading out Carty, AFB or Lodge for some cash I'm not too sure what to do.

Maybe post your team up mate, but while there has been some different strategies posted here over the last couple days re trading, I firmly believe under most circumstances, to have a shot in this game, you have to trade hard each week, for a number of weeks.

The reason is, if you don't have the main cash cows before round 3, you will fall too far behind the leaders in terms of the salary cap of your team and it will be very tough to catch up. So this year it seems at this stage anyway you need to have Ponga, RFM, Griffen, Kikau, Cook, & Isaako, perhaps Rochow Lodge and Nichols too (they are the ones that spring to mind off the top of my head). If you already have these guys then you are sitting pretty, but if not, I think you gotta max trade to get as many as you can.

    Have I missed anyone guys?

Waqa Blake and Sam Williams will need to be monitored this week also.Ash Taylor could be a smokie?

Whilst not cash cows par se they could earn some decent cabbage.

Sam Williams has me really interested, but his coach scares the hell out of me.

    Sure thing

    Smith Cook
    Fifita AFB Lodge (Nicholls)
Gallen Brown RFM Merrin (Rochow, Kikau)
    Munster Croft Cartwright (Croker)
    Aubbs Inglis (Isaako, Doueihi)
    Teddy Ponga Hiku (JMK, Katoa)

    $96,700 in the bank

Clearly there are targets for upgrade but I don't know if sideways trading to anyone is really necessary right now. The only reason I didn't score as well as I could is because Rochow and Kikau were outside my 17 and Gallen/AFB/Lodge/Croft didn't pull their weight. Players like Kennar and Thompson are already priced high enough that I don't want them since they aren't keepers. I'd love to target someone like Griffin but is he worth trading out AFB or Lodge over?

I think you have to get Griffen mate. Not for Lodge though. Looking at your team if it were me I'd go Gallen to Griffen. Others will disagree though Im sure. If not Gallen then AFB, but he went OK didn't he? relative to his price? I don't know what the story is with Gallen though, why did he play so few minutes.

If you did that though you'd have the cash to upgrade Hiku.

Slade Griffin or Tevita Pangai Junior in to fund my Croft - SJ upgrade?

I guess Griffin looks the safer bet. Can always bring TPJ in next week if he kills it again this round.

    Top 14% with 760 and a few non-preforms so I'll take that.
So it's about Thompson and Johnston this week.

Dropping L Mitchell for C. Thompson. Frees up and more potential to make cash.
    Kniko out for SJ.

This format gives a chance to deal with a broken jaw in a week or twos time.

ARey becomes Johnson now and likewise Welshy , Croft on notice and may be prudent to hang off on my second trade now - jury still out on that SST> Griffin outcome.

With no price rises this week, I'm tempted t leave my team as is:

    C9 Cook
    Fifita Surgess Rochow Lodge

Brown Merrin Kikau SST Arrow Nicholls
    Cronk Carty Croker Watson
    Mitchell Croker Isaako Lomax
    Tedesco Ponga GI Kennar Katoa

Not sure who will be my 4th reserve.
Not sold on Griffiin, can wait till next week for Dougy because he wont be in the 17 anyway.
    Don't like my halves though.

personally i think you have to trade early in this comp given the two free looks you get at players (= 4 possible trades). What about RFM?

Thoughts on any possible trades here?

    Smith (Cook)
    Fifita, Lodge (M.Scott, Nicholls)
Jurbo, JDB, RFM (Kikau, Rochow, Griffin)
    JT, Croft (Croker, Carty)
    Croker, Inglis (Matthews, Isaako)
    Teddy, Ponga, Dufty (Hiku, Katoa)

I have most of the cash cows I think besides players like Thompson and Kennar etc.

I want SJ so is it worth the trade this week or wait until next week and see how Croft goes one more time?
Also considering Scott to Papali'i depending on job security for the Warriors youngster.
Katoa will have to go before round 3 obviously but is Thompson and Kennar worth the extra cash?

Also I liked the look of Matthews on the weekend. Pretty happy I went with him even though it was pretty risky but he actually good minutes and looked decent. Hoping he keeps his spot with Wallace back over Boyle (Matthews played better I reckon)

Have a fairly similar team to most in here it seems:

    C9 Cook
    Fifita Lodge Rochow Nicholls
Surgess Merrin Whitehead RFM Arrow Griffin
    JT Croft Carty Croker
    Mitchell Aubs Isaako Douelhi
    Tedesco Ponga GI Hiku Katoa

    $115k in the bank.

Want to get in Kikau and potentially Murray before prices go up, as well as upgrade Croft if he doesn't perform. Any suggestions of who to get rid of?

Scott is the most obvious downgrade candidate. From a cash perspective, you can wait one more week for Croft but then you'll only have one trade next week to play with for any other upgrades/downgrades. Katoa you can hold on to for as long as you want. That's what I'm planning to do until the next decent cash cow comes along (preferably at base price).
