Not sure about the Friend trade. He plays rd 13 and has been pretty good every week except for the last one....

last week 17, the week before 36.

It looks like Radley is starting to eat into his minutes. Friend 44 minutes & Radley 36 last week.
17 points from 44 minutes isn't very good for a top tier hooker.

I have Cook for rd 13 anyway !!

    An aside from last weekend.
I ended up playing Badbetter in two leagues. I'd rather that not happen on the same weekend.
So we had swings and roundabouts all weekend and we know h2h can be harsh.
    End result was 912 - 909.
Sorry about that Badbetter. I was sweating on the Arrow updates you would get. You don't deserve to lose two leagues with a score like that.

Its weeks like this where I wish I had 4 trades to use.

I think G Jennings makes sense as a cash out, and potential CC, but only this week.

On top of that I feel like I need to bring in JFH.

I would also like to get rid of Dufty (perhaps this is a luxury option but its such a small jump to Turbo and a set and forget for the year)

Cotric if he gets the FB gig seems like a must have although looking more an more likely he won't get it. Need to make sure I have cash for Gutho if Cotric doesn't work out.

Cam Smith will be a value buy next week if he puts up another good score. Perhaps even this week if you wanted to take a small risk.

And on top of that guys like Duueihi and Isaako are probably trade outs if you wanna make the most of their price rises.

Too many options, not enough trades....

    What to do?

    Whitehead to JFH
    Friend to CS9

with an extra $66k in the bank. Sound good ?

    Whitehead to JFH seems sensible.

Friend is a toughy. Hopefully you had him from the start, in which case at least you've made a bit of money and his ave of 46 hasn't been too bad. You really need a crystal ball though. I would probably trade him if I was in your position and there wasn't a higher priority trade to deal with. My rationale would be that one more week of 40min (or whatever he got last week) would be pretty hard to recover from. Don have the numbers but you'd not only lose about 30 points on your competition but I suspect a fair bit of money too. At least with Cam Smith you know he'll play 80 and after last week should be pretty satisfied with his effort. Also if the rumours of a shitty relationship with Croft are true then with Jacks there Cam might be even more inclined to up his game. Goal Kicking back this week too.

Long story short my gut feeling is that its a big risk to keep Friend right now given the uncertainty around his minutes and for that reason alone he would be a trade out for me!

Wouldn't worry about bye rounds at this stage. I think its advantageous to have maybe 4 guys or so that you have in your team that will play 13 and then you will trade them to guys who play 17, but only if it makes sense in the greater scheme f things for you overall team. The extra points is just a bonus.

    Thanks for your thoughts R&T
Yes, I started the year with Friend and Cook.

I haven't really thought about the bye rounds yet and I just had a look.
    Round 13 players currently in my squad are;
    Cook,
    Taupau, Rochow,
    Crichton, Murray, Brown, Griffin,
    DCE, Coker,
Marsters, Inglis, Doueihi, Milne (I think he has been sacked),
    Ponga, Kennar, Katoa, C.Graham

Not too bad but a lot will change over the next 7 weeks or so !!

Had you thought about Munster over Trbo? the $100k could be useful, as would the DPP. But how much lower does he score on average....?

Looked at munster but the halves round about at storm doesn't fill me with confidence. Munster to me is a gun full back and not a gun 5/8. Seems to miss a couple tackles too.

Turbo looks poised to gun it. Only other full back is mbye for me at this stage.

Actually seeing herman is starting lock this week, I think I'll trade lodge out instead and give essess a chance. Might just hold off the dufty to turbo trade too until the last minute. I may bring in Jennings as a cash out for Isaako or just bank the trade.

G Jennings scored 19 last week. if he scores that again, he'll make $40k and have a BE of 16.

For a guy with dubious job security there ain't enough potential upside for me. Cash out only, can't rely on him making profits.

Cotric has played 1 game at fullback. In that game he scored 42, his average as a winger is 38. Currently priced at 33.
He might do OK, but he is far from a must have. Certainly I wouldn't see him as any more useful than Dufty, who you are already looking to ditch.

As a Munster owner from the start I wouldnt be buying him. "Munster to me is a gun full back and not a gun 5/8" (Clack Bocks 2018) is spot on. I was kind of hoping Billy would have a few niggles early on once he wasnt named round 1 and hoped he would spend a bit more time there. Plus he surely plays origin. While at 6 i would be steering clear. There are so many better options available at fb

Thanks mate - yeah Id come to the same conclusion re Jennings.

Citric wasn't gonna be a replacement for Dufty, rather my 2nd C option. I figure he would score more at FB (if he got the 1 jersey) and would therefore be a very solid C option, particularly given his price. But at Wing he isn't as tempting. I;d rather wait and see how Gutho goes and then look at him. I just don't really want to grab an actual C at C (if you know what I mean). Aitken would be ok, Cotric probably too (if he';s playing wing) but if possible I'd like to pick up a player playing FB or 2RF.

I do want to ditch Dufty though. Gut feel based on watching him play but I think value is elsewhere and he won't maintain his average.

So, that means I'll probably go JFH and either Munster of TTrbo in this week.

The later is gonna be a trade off decision I think.

Do you have stats on Munster at FB vs Munster at half?

About the same (Fantasy scoring, haven't converted to VSDT) slight advantage for five-eighth over fullback but close enough as to be statistically equal

If you don't have Arrow you need him this week.

JFH might be now or never too.

I am bringing in TTrbo for my only trade.

    Gosiewski in this comp?

He is priced at 20 and his only score is 23. You can get another free look before deciding if he will even be close to worth it?
Not even that cheap. I wouldn't bother, but I guess if you need the cash you have to get something.
