I got knocked out by 20 points. Litterally my captain choice (went Gal instead of Jturbo who it has been for weeks now)

Switched on briefly to a few of the games yesterday. Am I right in thinking both Mannering and Matterson were defending in the middle?

Presumably Matterson switches back to the edge next week but Mannering will be in the middle until Harris comes back?

Also, can anyone tell me why Mann got so many minutes? minutes suggest something happened with Nene. Did he go off injured?

Couple more questions for next year.

Fotuaika looks like a gun un the making. he's put up two big scores on big minutes last two games. Any chance he gets a starting prop role next year? I think they said he's only 18?

Also, what is Tevaga's usual position. I have no stats to base this off but he looks like a PPM machine.

I feel like Tevaga is a hooker, but he has been used in the second row... read an article yesterday where he said he has decided that the 'utility' is his niche for the Warriors and he's happy to play 14 (paraphrasing).

How are your eliminators looking guys?

Mine looks like it'll come down to (him v me):

    FRF - James v Ese'ese
Cs - Gutherson and Matterson v Aitken and Isaako
    WFB RTS v Mbye
    Sub DCE v Hess

so id rather be in my position but given the PODs are basically all backs its pretty much a 50-50

My opponent did well/was lucky to get through. I feel like he might be out of trades judging by the amount of injured/dropped players on his bench... (Olive, Ponga, Milne, Harris, Munster, LCroker and Tedesco)

But then again looking at the list like that it could just be the opposite and he is saving trades.

    Me v Them
    Brown v Terepo
    RJames v Kikau
    ARey v Watson (or Munster)
    Cotric v Marsters
    Taupau v Surgess
Fergo and RTS v TTrbo and LLewis (assuming Ponga isn't back, Teddy is, and he chooses these two over Katoa)
RMat v Arrow (who I sold on Sunday can immediately buy back for Sua)

It's tight but I still feel like it could be worse. I just want to be able to put out my A squad instead of ring ins

Edit: I confused myself so had to write it all out

    Their team:
    Smith Cook
    Fifita Kikau Surgess Terepo
Martin Arrow Lolo JTrbo (Milne Harris)
    SJ Munster LLewis (LCroker)
    Aitken Marsters (RSmith Olive)
    Teddy TTrbo Watson (Ponga Katoa)

    Mine:
    Smith Cook
    Fifita Taupau RJames (IPapali'i)
Brown Martin Lolo JTrbo RMat (Sua)
    SJ ARey (Munster LLewis)
    Aitken Cotric (Holland Tuala)
    Teddy Fergo RTS (Denniss Katoa)

If I were him, I'd be playing the wild cards like Munster over Terepos etc. You're stronger on paper

Yeah I was thinking I could play Munster too if need be to reduce PODs. No reason not to play Reynolds though. Just have to hope for the best!

Plenty of decent PODs in my matchup. Amazing how many differences while still fielding a quality side.

    Me vs Her

    Cook vs McInnes
    Fifita vs De Belin
    Martin vs Crichton
    Brown vs Arrow
    Reynolds vs Sutton
    Aitken vs Marsters
    Taikarangi vs Mitchell
    Mbye vs RTS
    CWalker vs Macdonald
    Ese’ese vs Thurston

I could move Arrow in from my non-scoring emergencies (instead of Martin, Brown, Ese’ese or even Fifita) to reduce one POD.

I also have $550k in the bank. Worth bringing in Teddy or Hoppa or any other CYR or WFB to strengthen my back five? Currently Aitken/Taikarangi and TTurbo/CWalker/Mbye.

Yep, 9 POD's in my match up at this stage as well. Crazy stuff, I would have thought everyone would be similar bar maybe 3 or 4 by now.

Milch mentioned in the other fantasy thread this would probably be the last week. so he may not have done them for VSDT

Would you guys be playing Matterson this week? Other options at C for me are Isaako and Guth who sound like will both be playing FB this week.

I just have no idea what kind of role Matterson will play off the bench? Presumably its a "Murray" type bench role where he comes on mid first half and plays 50 odd minutes at lock?

If so, it becomes a dilemma. You either go conservative and take the Matterson score which has a high floor but low ceiling, or the Guth/Isaako score which has a low floor and a high ceiling....

I'm benching him this week. I'd probably play Isaako personally! I have Cotric to worry about on the wing. Hate the CTR position lol who does your opponent have?

    Thanks mate.

Good point, I hadn't checked. Aitken Cotric Mitchel (take your pick) vs Guth and Isaako .... I know who I'd rather be on. That being said Im really hoping that Guth goes hard tonight after a pretty shitty game last week and that Isaako at FB will want to show his worth. My gut says they both go well!!

8 in my matchup, averages has me slightly ahead but his is a very strong team. All depends on who fires on any given week now really...

On Matterson, I have my fingers and toes crossed he starts come game day. Having held him this long it would be a cruel blow for him to be a bench player to finish the season

Not a great start to my eliminator- benched N.Brown in favour of Martin, Ese’ese and Arrow, and played Taikarangi at centre over Aitken. Still a way to go but playing a bit of catch-up now!

My Hoppa/Martin v his NBrown/Tolman/Guth/Martin has me behind the 8 ball as well straight off the bat.

    80 v 211.

Worst thing is I was hoping his Tolman and Guth would let him down, but they didn't Crying or Very sad

Just noticed Taikarangi got shifted to the bench.  The one time I didn’t get a chance to check Pacey’s late mail team lists...

I got through the first game relatively unscathed. It was Brown vs Terepo and thankfully that fell in my favour. The biggest difference is that he captained Arrow and I captained Cook.

Would you play Munster over ARey to make it one less POD or just go as is? We both have SJ.
