I was going to post about Liddle earlier today. There seems to be a fair bit of talk that Benji finds his way into the 14 jersey.. and if that is the case, aurely Liddle plays big mins, witb Benji used sparingly, as he was off the bench for the Broncos

Ponga is the most clear cut WFB for me.

Averages 49 at fullback, priced at 38, and will likely have goal kicking as a bonus.
Similar to Brodie Croft. He has never scored below his 2018 BE in his favoured position

The choice is whether Tedesco is selected alongside Ponga, not as a replacement for him.

Ponga is the absolute no brainer pick for 2018. Which kinda sucks cos if he kills it, it doesnt really matter

Liddle is out to start the season, so that is all just guesswork.

with Benji o the bench, would they move JRey to hooker when Liddle gets a rest.

Different coach, but the Tigers used to regularly move a winger to hooker midgame, so no positional craziness is out of the question.

He did, that was why he signed. He was quoted as saying as much.

Croft, Ponga, Milne, Murray are the 4 guys that are locked into my team assuming they are named as expected come team lists.

Cam Smith, Lodge, Croker, Cook and Garvey/Havili are very likely as well.

If Murray plays big minutes he will be a steal, does he get the 80? what's your projection for 60 minutes at lock mate?

With 60+ minutes I'd expect at least 40 (which is OK given he is priced at 36)

But I'd be hoping for close to 80 minutes and 50 points a week.

Souths forward make up is a confusing one.

Starting pack seems like being gurgess cook musgrove angus surgess murray

    Bench forwards from:
    Turgess turner sutton clark..

Do they play farah or another utility?

Does surgess stay on the edge, or does he swap to middle mid game

Does crichton play 80.. assuming yes unless their season is done

Leilua from the dragons best shot at doing something?

Margoulis (sp?) at Sharks is highly rated and not sure how much football Lewis and Gallen have in them this year. More one to keep an eye on than to pick from week 1 maybe, but could make the bench.

2nd row has a lot of value, so can't see myself going with an established gun (Taumalolo.Gallen/Mannering/JDC/Crichton)

Nathan Brown is the only expensive guy that tempts me. Tohu has some appeal but I am very wary of a leaving Storm/joining Warriors drop

Murray, Guerra, Arrow, RFM, Elliot, McQueen, Cartwright all have the potential for upside

Plus I am not ruling out Storm, Dragons or Warriors throwing up a juicy option come round 1, and there are a few others I have half an eye on.

Nobody has really mentioned Alex Glenn. As an 80 minute 2nd rower he averages 48. priced at 37.
Not really sure he will get consistent big minutes, but he might be an option.

Will Gurgess get the starting spot back off Turgess?

Would have to show a lot in pre-season to get his starting spot back.

They could also start with Surf and Turf up front (as Surgess and Turgess should be called) and Sutton in the back row.

also: A pre-season article mentioned Fuimaono and Doueihi competing for bench utility spot. Not sure how accurate that is

Maybe liam knight gets a run for raiders, or mark nicholls nabs a bench spot at rabbits. Theres gotta be a chance for a basement price rookie forward on the rabbits bench IMO
