everyone has him and his lowest fantasy average in a season scores 6 points above where he is priced, I don’t see the worry with Hiku, you can’t start the season with everyone you actually want in your sidemy tv broke wrote:I am real happy with my side except Hiku. Yuck

He's not in my team at the moment, but i feel i need to put him in as a 18-21 emergency so that I don't get left behind everyone else if he jags a big score.

Katoa tore it up in a funzie game against Wigan for anyone who cares. I normally ignore this kind of article hype but he is getting harder and harder to ignore as my round 1 cheapie

Katoa a TB machine in U20s as well.
Looks a much better prospect than Kennar. Shame he isn't DPP, but I think he'll be very popular.
Only question will be whether to play him in your 17 or have him in your 18-21

Initially he will be in my 18-21 especially away to the Cowboys in round 1. The Cowboys are pretty strong defensively on the edges.

Question for the oracle @Milchcow
I have Carty in my 14-17, Croker in my 18-21
A HLF is a late scratching on Friday and Carty comes into the 13 promoting the next plodder from 18-21 into my 14 -17. In a cruel twist of fate during warm up on the Sunday my 2RF goes down.
Do I get a doughnut for the 2RF or will Croker be promoted into HLF and Carty with DPP move to 2RF ?

The other question is playing outside Dugan will he get any attack stats ?

Huge risk running 3 cheapies in your back 5. If they dont produce good scores how do you fix the problem?
Probably downgrade Crichton or JTurbo and get a mid-ranger in your CTR or WFB position.
I think a well balanced team is key this year.

See there's the problem - how do you get to training on time if breakfast doesn't START until 9.00am?

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 5
Instead of typing up another version of my team thought I'd ask for thoughts on specific players.
Merrin: was it just rumours that he was being shopped around? If hes happy there, after no origin and no wc, maybe hes had a full season and with less competition at the panthers he can gun it again?
Joey Manu: dpp, roosters player alongside Cronk..any upside here?
Watson: what are people expecting from him? I've got him in my team atm, but mainly as he's now an 80min five eighth and I can't really find a better solution.
Another point I've thought of origin players. I've got teddy and fifita atm. Not bringing in any others unless theres definite 10 point value there. Everyone else's thoughts?

Looks pretty decent too me. Personally I'm steering clear of L.Croker. Been burnt by Feeney and Elgey and Field in previous seasons so just cant do that too myself . J Croker could be good if Raiders find form this year and hence more attacking stats + goals.
