Milch thoughts on Arrow and SST? I had Arrow but took him out, now im not so sure. Everytime i take someone out to put these guys in it just creates more headaches haha

i could d/g BJ to Kata (think he is due a bounce back season) and upgrade McKendry to SST. The effect of the 17 is BJ and Kikau/Faulalo v Kata and SST

    Smith
    SST Lodge

    Cook Lichaa Arrow Nicholls

    LCroker Katoa Havili Mckendry

    ______________________________________________________________________________
Elliot Whitehead 2RF priced at 41 points, 604k Predicted 50 points
With the move to lock Elliot should still score well and if anything more consistently.
Has a high workrate off base stats and capable of playing 80 minutes in the centre
Previously has averaged 50 and with not playing in the halves or at centre then should go back to that
He is the sort of player that is capable of going bigger and into gun status

    ________________________________________________________________________________________________
Cody Walker HLF/WFB priced at 43 points, 627k Predicted 50 points
New Year, New contract and Walker looks back to his best based on the trials.
When he was happy and playing in the halves he was killing it but at the back end of last year he hit a poor spot of form.
I think he can get back to at least his career average of 47 but if he can remain settled in his position and with Reynolds injury record he can push for more.

    Nice writeup Boozey.

I think you might be a little optimistic on these 2.

Whitehead is tough because we don't really know how he goes at lock. He's played 3 games there for scores of 51, 55 and 13 (where a sinbinning was a killer for points that would not have been that great even without it)
I'd love it if he could average 50s, and I am definitely considering him, but I think it mostly depends on Canberra having a good year to get him some good attacking stats (Joey Leilua in a similar situation)

Cody Walker - guess its just gut feeling here, but I am not sure he can get back to his best. His previous best runs of form came either at fullback, or with Reynolds missing. He just put up a few too many stinkers last year, and if you want an up and down guy with a high ceiling why not go Moses for cheaper. I do like Walker as a player though, I just think its a bit of a risk for the cash outlay.

I was going to put Taukeiaho down as overrated as well, but after a closer look, I'm saying fuck it, maybe he can get 45+, and I might just have to put him on my team

Don't see any worry with Nicholls. Even at worst he scores 25-30 and raises above $400k. Murray, yes, steering clear.

At worst - Murray goes to lock, Burgess to prop, and Nicholls to crappy bench spot. Ideally he gets a few weeks to make some cash first

I think it’s very likely that Nicholls and Kikau go back to bench for Round 2/3.

Murray and CHN coming back from injuries with no match fitness

Cheers for your feedback milchy, they were funny enough my more recent additions as had this extra cash so upgraded there.
Fair point around the 'No Reynolds' factor and relying on a player to get injured to score well could be a factor.

If I run Katoa in the back like alot will it means I could go back to spending money on decent half.
Or that coin allows me to get upgrade some others.
I guess I was looking at an insurance policy for cartwright and the DPP fond memories from start of last year blurred me
Wonder if Hunt or DCE is worth another look but will see.

SST I was in the same camp and was leaning towards Liu but checked the stats and they weighed up. Risk it for the biscuit haha

I've axed Merrin from my team after having a look at the panthers bench. One player I hadnt really considered, who is normally in my team is Surgess. Average must been down after playing the end of last season injured. If he starts at lock then rotates to prop he should see his normal big minutes? I feel Murray will end up starting at lock at some stage pushing Surgess to prop. Do we have any stats on him playing in the front row?

If SST retains starting prop, and gets 40+ minutes a week, with goal kicking whilst on the field, I can not see him averaging less than 40. (priced at 37)
Over the past 3 years in games he has played at least 40 minutes, he has only scored below 37 three times (and the lowest of those scores was 35) That is across prop, 2nd row, lock and interchange.

Arrow is hard to get an estimate for because we don't know what wll happen to him when Wallace returns
He has started at prop once before for 30 points in 46 minutes.
If he can retain a starting role on Wallace's return (or even just a significant bench role of close to 40 minutes) I think a mid 30s average is about right. I'm not sure I see him consistently getting over 40 though.

I am worried Kikau is a trap and CHN will start sooner or later. some more certainty on his role over the next month or 2 would be so helpful.
