Take out the injury ridden games and he averaged 53 for the season last year.
He started twice in the front row, 70 minutes and 48 points

If SST retains starting prop, and gets 40+ minutes a week, with goal kicking whilst on the field, I can not see him averaging less than 40. (priced at 37)
Over the past 3 years in games he has played at least 40 minutes, he has only scored below 37 three times (and the lowest of those scores was 35) That is across prop, 2nd row, lock and interchange.

Arrow is hard to get an estimate for because we don't know what wll happen to him when Wallace returns
He has started at prop once before for 30 points in 46 minutes.
If he can retain a starting role on Wallace's return (or even just a significant bench role of close to 40 minutes) I think a mid 30s average is about right. I'm not sure I see him consistently getting over 40 though.

I am worried Kikau is a trap and CHN will start sooner or later. some more certainty on his role over the next month or 2 would be so helpful.

    Thanks

Cheers for your feedback milchy, they were funny enough my more recent additions as had this extra cash so upgraded there.
Fair point around the 'No Reynolds' factor and relying on a player to get injured to score well could be a factor.

If I run Katoa in the back like alot will it means I could go back to spending money on decent half.
Or that coin allows me to get upgrade some others.
I guess I was looking at an insurance policy for cartwright and the DPP fond memories from start of last year blurred me
Wonder if Hunt or DCE is worth another look but will see.

SST I was in the same camp and was leaning towards Liu but checked the stats and they weighed up. Risk it for the biscuit haha

I was going to keep Murray in my team even from the bench, to save a trade when he inevitably makes the starting lineup. But now I've just done a straight swap for SST for just $2k more.

Don't let me talk you our of Walker though. I wouldn't be very surprised if he ht is 2017 average again. Its just not soemthign I personally will risk.
If I was spending that much on a half though, I would want the extra $20k to go Thurston.

Whitehead is so close to making my team. I think he almost certainly improves on last year, the only question is by how much.

@redneckhori that leaves me with nada in the bank. Alternatively I could bring Lichaa in instead of Turbo and have Katoa in my 17 again and gave about 155k spare. What do you think is the better option?

I've had those two dodgy players CWalker and Whitehead in most of my iterations. Walker scores better at half, Souths are going to be better in attack this year *surely*, and ARey is going to break, if he's not broken already.

Whitehead is a bit of flyer because we don't know the minutes. Plenty of other 550-600 guys to flip to if it goes wrong. Doesn't even need to be a 2RF... could switch Cartwright there and get whichever of Cronk/Croft/KNik/Townsend etc who you don't have that comes out firing.

Anyway... fuck it... current Rabbit/Rooster reliant 21. No Smith, so may do an overhaul. Pondering whether Cook a legitimate captain. Also a gamble running one WFB on bench as cover for whole back five, but Havili/Croker should make more money than Thompson/Isaako/Kennar, right?

    Cook (c)
    SST, Lodge
    Whitehead, Harris, RFM
    Cronk, Cartwright
    Latrell, Aubs
    Tedesco, Inglis, CWalker

Lichaa, Arrow, Griffin, Nicholls, Kikau, Croker, Havili, Katoa

    What are people's views on the following type players;

    - Latrell
    - Knik
    - Cwalker

They all rely heavily on big plays to score good points, any more reliable alternatives?

    My team right now

    Smith
    Lodge Fifita
    RFM Arrow Merrin
    Croft Cartwright
    Hayne Hiku
    Tedesco Ponga Katoa

    Cook
    Rochow
    Griffin
    Taukeiaho
    Nicholls
    Havili
    Kennar
    Croker

Do not like my centres. At some point over the next 40 hours going to do a comprehensive review of all possible options to see what can happen.
Think I'll put Inglis in if he gets DPP and I am confident in his fitness

Would prefer Cartwright and Hiku to be my backup half/centre rather than starting, will have to see what I can swing.

Guys who I will fit in my squad if I can get the cash include - Whitehead, James Graham, NBrown, Thurston, Aubusson, Lichaa
If SST gets DPP I might move him in for fifita and free up a bunch of cash to improve elsewhere

I have no confidence in Rochow's job security, but the upside is too big to ignore so he has to be there.

    Fifita.

    2nd tier
Taumalolo, De Belin, McInnes, Gallen (maybe McCullough except for him coming back from injury)

Don't trust halves or backs as captaincy material.

I've considered Latrell but dropped him to roll the dice on cheap CTRs....for now. I think he's a good chance to improve.

Knik is in my side, underpriced by 5-10 points due to appearances as a bench utility. I'm unsure about him to be honest.

CWalker I've never rated but he has looked good...and there is always a chance he steps up following the inevitable Reynolds injury
