I've been touting the Rochow train for weeks, but no way I am doubling down on his security Embarassed

I reckon he plays 80, Tapine to play around 60 and whitehead to shift to the edge potentially in that scenario

At least Canberra isn't running a 4 man forward bench. So the question is will Papalli play 80. Nope. Tapine, highly unlikely. At worst Whitehead holds his value and my plan is to downgrade to Murray(once confirmed Murray's minutes/starting postion is back) if that indeed happens.

Papalii will play 80 or close to it every week

Looks good currently, but a couple of potential locks there if Sticky wants to change things up.

He's still in the maybe group for me. Can he average 50 is the question. Surely with 80mins he does.

This is how i see it too. Lui Soli and Bateman all likely to spend the majority of the time at prop (a fair few games last year Sticky did this and one of the props just got like 15-20min).
MAYBE he puts Soli at 2nd row or Bateman/Soli at lock (though my bet is the majority of the games our 11,12 and 13 play pretty close to 80) but even then i reckon its Tapine who gets the rest, as you've said.

My top secret sources tell me that Morgan is out of the cowboys game with an ankle problem. Martin to 5/8th and Jensen onto the bench

I feel like I'm missing a lot of teams

I don't have any players from Cowboys, Raiders, Warriors, Eels, Titans and Sea Eagles..

Man I'm gonna be bored when those teams play each other..

In the last 2 years Josh Papalii has only played less than 71 minutes once.

He averages over 79 minutes (slightly inflated due to golden point games)

No reason to see why that would change

Guerra 1.1% ownership and looks like he could play 80 or close to it.

I can see him averaging 55. Priced at 44.

I know he was discussed previously but seems well under bought.

I think (personal opinion) that Papaili will get pulled into the front row rotation at some stage during the game and therefore have a stint on the bench. Agree with another poster that Whitehead will play 80min but will see some time on the edge as well. I just think he is too versatile (Whitehead) to have him at lock all game. If there is any team (other than the Warriors) that likes the throw caution to the wind and play a different style/set up of play it is Canberra.

Anyway, just my opinion. We will have to wait and see.

Finger Puppet Mafia wrote:If ever throughout the season I feel confident of fringe/new players keeping their spots (for at least 5 weeks or more) it has to be the start of the season. They have obviously shown their coach they deserve their spot and it is theirs to loose.

So the likes of Godinet, Kennar, Nicholls, Katoa, Kikau, Havili and to a lesser extent Griffen should give you some solid coin in the first 5 or so weeks. They may be benched or even dropped into the season, but what can you expect they cost 228K (barring Griffen). You get what you pay for right? My point is if there was ever a time to make money on rookies with the upmost confidence of holding their place it would have to be at the start of the season. Why would a coach ditch their seasons plans that have been in preparation for months after only a couple of weeks?

It depends on whether they are starting due to form (Katoa, Havili, Griffin) or due to injury (Kikau with CHN, Godinet with Liddle, Isaako with Bird) In which case you have to work out how long the other guy will be out for, and if they will come straight back in when fit.

Could easily average 50 if he plays big minutes. Depends how Buhrer gets used, whether he rests Fitzgibbon, Buhrer or Barnett. I am definitely interested in him, but not quite confident enough

Guerra could play 80 but he could just as easily play 60. Lets not forget he was struggling to hold a starting spot at roosters.
