Feel like I should have Lichaa but would mean dropping SST.

Means Rochow would go into the 13 though

Lodge to the bench... Bring in Easy for whoever doesn't fire on my bench

That 255k I nervously kept in the bank will come in very handy. Lots of misfiring guns I can upgrade Nikorima to. And the new position system means I can upgrade him to literally anyone.

I'm keeping Murray and will have to downgrade Merrin also to maybe Harris. I only have 5K so am fucked to get anyone for Katoa, so I don't want to panic, but have to do something. Could just leave Katoa as I have Isaako on the bench, but Kennar in the centres also so not ideal.

If he is scoring, no real difference between 1-13 and 14-17, other than for DPP guys for AE flexibility.

As for SST/Lichaa. I am in similar position and so are many others. You can't have every guy who scores well, just have to pick one and hope for the best.

I've also decided not to rearrange my team to fit Dufty in.

Thursday night was only his 2nd score over 40. And whilst he looked very good, it wasn't good enough to make me drop another gun to fit him in.

Could well be wrong, I never got Ponga in last year, much to my detriment

Yeah the new system does give that extra flexibility...

So far there have been plenty of guns with sub-par scores... and quite a number of cashcows misfiring as well.
It shapes up to be a low scoring round for some..

Katoa's score sucks...
At least Griffin makes up for it in my team

Same, only have 20k at this stage and I'm only making a slight adjustment to save a trade. Although, with my newly found $148k from Merrin to Murray I could go Rochow to Arrow which I think I like and still gives me FRF cover. Only leaves 51k to trade Katoa, would it be enough to pick up a round two cow??

Katoa has thrown a spanner in the works for me.

Had no WFB cover so i have traded Harris for GI. Moving Kennar out of my 17.

Kennar will cover Katoa next week if he is ruled out.

Yes, it has to be done. I had Katoa emg. so I will take a punt and downgrade Aubbs to Manu and have 196K in the warchest

to upgrade Katoa to whoever is looking likely and hopefully playing round 13.

What do you guys reckon I only have 5K at the moment.  A few ideas also for other that have Katoa in their starting 13.

Do I'

A. Drop Merrin for Kikau to get Dufty for Katoa next week
B. Drop Merrin for Harris to just get enough to upgrade Katoa to a new cow whichever looks good this week and keeps their spot
C. Drop Merrin for a Mansour/Cotric/Croker/Walker to have the back cover already and save the trade and leave Katoa until the time is right to trade

I like all three options really.  Dufty would be nice, but a Mansour or Cotric

EDIT:  Going Merrin to Harris will only leave me with 44K which might not be enough.

I have Kennar as back up for Katoa, but thinking longer term, I am thinking of pulling Hayne in to replace NAS to give me extra cover in WFB and an extra 80k in reserve. I can replace NAS on my bench with either Rochow or Cartwright in my emergencies and I already have heaps of DPP 2RF/FRF, as well as a lot of hookers.

There is an article suggesting that Hayne will alternate mid-game with fullbackand without making this change I only have 1k in reserve to find a new replacement for Katoa if need be.

It would also mean Katoa would be free to be replaced with the full gamut of positions including all the bottom priced hookers with a week to see what is going on with them

Thoughts?

If I've got it right using Milchy's price predictor with MN 14645, a 228k player who scores 50 would go up about 43k but because Katoa is 212k you would need about 59k to grab him. Hmmmmm.

Merrin to Kikau does seem extreme this early on but it does open sweeping vistas of trading opportunities

which I know you live for Wolfie Ha Ha. Even if Katoa is back soon will Dugan ever pass him the ball?

If Katoa is all good and playing next week should I just do a straight swap with Isaako in the EMG and wait to see if Katoa fires? That way I can spend my cash elsewhere??

How good was it seeing Pearce kick the field goal. What a great story. I'm excited about seeing how well we mesh this year and the improvement we can get out of the juniors.
