Kikau or Carty in my 14-17? I’ve got both but just deciding which one to play. I’m thinking Carty because he is playing lock and may be good for 80?

Merrin to lichaa is the least points lost I feel

I actually like this. Might go through with it.

Warriors wrote:Anyone else find it odd Latrell scored more than tupou. Guess that's the difference between tackle counts at centre and wing. I actually think he was far more lazy than last year. Geez I actually think Pearce made those roosters look good too, although Cronk was good

I thought Cronk was excellent. He didn't have the smoothness in his game, or the support he is accustom to, but Tedesco is good enough that in time they will click. Tedesco actually looked shaky at times. Pearce is always underrated, he is an great club level player, and good at the week in, week out stuff.

Both Milchy and I mentioned Latrell being inconsistent scorer, and that is because he can be similar to Inglis who can go missing or quiet in games. YOu are right that the tackle difference really shows, but the only reason Latrell ended up with a higher score was because of the Goal Kicking. If you picked Latrell you need to be in it for the long haul, when he gets those games he scores 3 tries and hits like 10 TB's.

If he fluffed it and finished sub 30, would everyone still be so eager?

well no, but don't forget the money factor, i'm no milchcow but if he averaged 28, he'd eventually get up to about $400k, and that 54 will help him get there a lot quicker

Cartwright for sure. Kikau while promising is an unknown quantity. You probably didn't pay that much for Carty to not even play him either

Thompson isn't the bloke getting pipped after that performance. Especially if that form continues.

Nofo was good today though, and Lolohea is always decent. Looks a little off in defence a couple times but he was solid at the back, and Cleary bought him for that role exclusively.

Yeah that’s true, cheers. Carty over Kikau.

Next question. Keep Cotric? Or downgraded him to someone (no idea who). I’ve got Manu as my other centre, and Kennar and Isaacko in the 18-21. Played Katoa in the 13 lol. 157k ITB

I kept noticing Latrell standing on the wing and Tupou infield, alot.

Anyway.. round one it is. No panic from me in regards to any players. You will burn ur trades by mid season if you are like this week in week out.

Warriors wrote:Anyone of us pull the trigger on SST to Lichaa? Too much middle forward depth at roosters to command 45+ minutes.

I was very close to doing it. But would probably prefer Murray once he starts. At this stage I am hoping $59K covers Katoa to Thompson trade.

SST played 50 which is what I expected. He is a lazy tackler which is the most damning thing I got from the game.

I broke my "no wingers in the WFB 17" rule this year with Katoa.
I shall not be replacing him with another winger.
    Fullback or bust for me.

To a degree there are players you should definitely wait and see on. However I think the first three rounds you should be trading. Especially to get the rookies that are booming and the busts *cough* Katoa *cough* out so you can get your squad set, or you just fall behind.

You have the cash and cover to fix Katoa. So I would only ditch Cotric if you have doubts or have a better option. You picked him up for a reason.

You dont pick latrell to score consistently. You just hope for more 60s than 20s. For a game where he did literally nothing, i guess ill take it. Hopefully a 70 next week

Yeah i said that earlier to. Trade in the early rounds but not every player who doesnt get 50+. Some of the guys being bandied around....
Ill trade first few rounds if smart. Not at the drop of a hat though.
