Merrin's defence has been outstanding. Looks to have more speed too which has come with the weight loss.

If Griffin doesn't give him at least 60 minutes every week he's an idiot.

Edwards is deceptive but the way he plays he gets great fantasy points.

Penrith with Merrin on field: 2 - 14
Penrith without Merrin on field: 22 - 0

I realize that but there is nothing JFH provides that Merrin doesn't. I can understand to some extent why Griffin kept him off for so long but watching Merrin today he was bloody outstanding in defence and there is no reason why he shouldn't be playing 60 minutes consistently this season.

Me too - it's a minus 27 point decision but not a total disaster. McKendry looked solid - he might work his minutes back up and make some money from a base price. He'll probably sit in the 18-21 slots as a FRF reserve.

Kikau could be one to aim to get in though. I was worried he would get small minutes like Harawira-Naera did - impossible to predict what some coaches will do with their bench players.

Nah, I know he looked decent. TBH, game changed for Panthers when RCG came off bench.

That bench should be okay for Whitehead.

If that's a 35 point game for Hayne (same with Latrell's 28), I'm not sad that I started them both at centre. Any sort of effort/interest and they could both be awesome.

Moses unlucky with the HIA and sin bin, still happy I've got him.

Hayne was a bludger for the first 60 minutes or so, but pulled his finger out at the end. Just need him to start looking involved for longer periods
