If I could do one trade in Thompson seems the way to go. That means I have to lose Hiku and hold on to Katoa but Thompson ticking a lot of boxes and could be out of reach by next roundRapture_NRL wrote:Perhaps Katoa to Doueihi over Thompson? Thinking out loud

I might just take it on the chin and miss out on Thompson. I dont want to double trade to bring him in for Katoa (zero bank)
I'd have to sacrifice TKO to free up cash and I'm not ready to do that (maybe.... haha)

@Milchy Amazing as always. Cheers for the BE work. Coolest cow on the internet.
Saw a few people who were thinking of trading perfectly good cashies like Nicholls or Havilii to Thompson or Kikau based on last weeks performances. I think that is definately a bad idea. No reason to trade out working cashies for slightly better ones. Trades are a limited resource and you can get a lot more value out of them than that.
Of course if you are looking to trade out Katoa or a middie you have lost faith in, all those guys seem like decent options after R1.
I'm probably looking at Doueihi for Katoa. It'll leave me with no cover WFB/CTRs but with a couple of guys looking not so flash for me, I'll look to move a stagnant mid-ranger into a gun CTR sometime soon to beef up that position.

Did you see his tackling efforts? Went in half-arsed into most of them and just fell off them and let others finish the tackles. He got like 5 tackles in the second half...
I noticed the same thing, there may be 1-2 in a tackle already and he would run along side instead of finish off the tackle.
It is probably a coaching direction but not good for fantasy.
I was tossing up between he and sssssssssses and the goal kicking potential swung me to SST. I'm correcting that this week.

I have 101K in the bank
Team
Smith (C)
Fifita, Lodge
RFM, NAS, Arrow
Croft, Moses
Leilua, Kennar
Ponga, Turbo, Dufty
Cook, Griffen, Kikau, Cartwright
Croker, Nicholls, Hiku, Katoa
Thinking of trading
Katoa - Doueihi if named (straight swap)
Hiku - Thompson (cost me 2k)
Leaving 99k ITB, but wont have coverage for Centre, what are your thoughts, could I get away with it for a week or two provided both Leilua and Kennar are named to start this week?

12.15pm: Brad Walter at South Sydney Rabbitohs training reports that Adam Doueihi is likely to get the nod at halfback in place of the injured Adam Reynolds.

Look how Merrin tackled on Sunday and his efforts to get first to the tackle, completely the opposite of how SST approached his tackling. I just didn't see much effort but tbh that was from a lot of the Roosters players so they might fire up this week and SST could do better.

IF Doueihi is named, what are you really expecting of him? Yep, 212k but honestly, he’s probably going to score 30-odd tops. Walker will control the team. I see it as a dumb trade because a) he will play maybe three games and b) he won’t have enough time to earn the money you want out of him. Then you’re stuck with him until Arey goes down again, which might be one week or might be seven weeks. Better options out there imo

Rapture_NRL wrote:Hey guys, tossing up a few options for trades (or not) this week so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated:
$416k ITB
Cook (vc)
NAS Kikau
Brown(c) Griffin RFM
KNik Carty
Mitchell Isaako
Rapana Ponga Dufty
Lichaa Rochow TPJ Arrow
Nicholls Lodge Evans Katoa
Bold are my trade options atm.. Thinking Brown to Crichton as my captain cause he's beast
KNik- I'm jumping ship but not sure whether to go gun or hit Walker or Williams types, issue is I have no half cover atm
Katoa- want to jump on Thompson but Katoa isn't losing cash..
Or save trades??
Do not trade Brown for Crichton. That is very sideways, especially at this stage of the year.

I was pumped thinking I had RFM and Rochow sitting on the pine for me.
Turns out last minute on Thursday I managed to drop whitehead for Jurbo, RFM and Rochow for Godinet and Nichols.
Thanks a lot Day drinking.
Also have Hiku and Katao in my team. With JCroker and Cartwright. (in my 14)

@Dreamers
Spot on with those trades, will make those exact ones too.
With JReynolds out then Mccllrick shares minutes with Godinet so too slow of a burn to make $$ quickly

Ah right, yep just found that in the trades section. Changes things a little I guess, one more player each round.
