Got the next few days off lads and with the weather being a bit shite up in FNQ, no chance of fishing or golfing so thought I'd dedicate my time to you lot.

I think Murray is a close "must trade" this week. If you have him maybe thats okay to not trade.
Unfortunately I'm double trading. Want to shore up my 2RF with Murray and have the cash to do it from Nichols and my only other trade is to free up some cash again so I can pick up Macca next week for Lichaa. If he plays the 80 again this week I want him now. I could get him this week but Murray will move more than Macca.
I dont quite have the cash to go Nicholls to Murray (about 10k short). Not keen on double trading to get him

Trying to alleviate any fear of early Arey return before getting Doueihi. Any chance Arey comes back and Doueihi partner Arey with Walker to FB and some kind of back reshuffle?

Yo mearcats I have a question for you.
Everyone is talking about Murray being a must trade/have.
In what instances, is this not true. I.e, if you have a stacked 2rf already.

I don't think so Loomer. GI will go to FB before Walker does in my opinion. There's a chance Doughy hangs around upon AReys return but unlikely.
I jumped on him last week and this week is basically your last chance to do so realistically. That being said, I'll also hold him if he does get dropped cos ARey is glass and will get injured again.
Best hope is that Doughy plays well enough to get a 14 jumper but then that may affect his money making potential.

Doueihi becoming bench player would be worst outcome. Would lose all value and become a sell then as soon as you do Arey would get injured again

You have two weeks with Doueihi which will be another $100k it would seem. Reynolds back round 5 but if rabbits win both games could be 1 more game, 3 more in total. Best thing would be if he isn't a bench utility and Reynolds goes down again.

@Fortitude, this is definitely one instance. A lot of people are talking about the necessity of making money early on this year (as is the case every year) but at what cost? I personally am trying to find a balance between points and cash making, keeping me in touch with the leaders while still generating cash.
Outta curiosity, what is your 2RF line up that has you stacked mate? This will make it easier for me to answer your question.

I have a question!
If you have 6 black socks, 4 blue socks, 8 brown socks and two red socks in your sock drawer, what is the minimum number of socks that you need to pull out in the dark to be sure you had a matching pair?

Smith
Lodge, Arrow
Harris, Merrin, Jurbo
Cronk, Carty
Croker, Hiku
Teddy, Ponga, Isaako
Cook, Grifen, Kikau, Douhi
Nichols, Godinet, Havilli, Croker
With 100kish ITB.
Whilst there is obvious weakness in the team, Anyone I would look to trade still has plenty of money to be made. Plus, non are scoring that poorly that they are a must trade.
Cant convince myself that rushing in Murray at the cost of ruining balance in the team.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 17
@Loomer, that depends on the minutes he gets off the bench and what he is able to achieve in the coming weeks until ARey is back.
For example, let's say he keeps a relatively low BE for the next two weeks (currently - 4). If he then gets jumper 14 and gets 20 mins or so of the bench it's no stretch of the imagination to foresee him making money for a couple of weeks still.
The value of a trade is 150k or thereabouts according to the gurus. I don't see him as a keeper so I am negating the fact that I will lose one trade to offload him and more chasing his money. If he has made 100k with a 10+/- BE and then gets the 14 jumper he'll still make the remaining money to offload him.

The answer is all of them MF. All of the socks.
But even then, how will you differentiate between brown and black while getting dressed in the dark? There's a good chance you still end up with one black and one brown sock.

Well done everyone!
Alright how about this one then
If 1/2x +1/2(1/2x + 1/2(1/2x +1/2(1/2x + ... = y, then x=?
