Yeah, you'd never find fans getting upset about a referee performance in something like soccer

The players consistently giving away penalties more the problem imo
Agreed. As a supporter it's frustrating. I get the tactic but it's negative and makes me want to explode!

Who are your halves if you traded out Croft for a FRF/2RF?
I just subbed Croker in for tonight with Carty to give me more thinking time in regards to Doueihi. Was going to trade in TPJ just went a different route as Croft obviously would have been locked out. I might run Croker and Carty for this week reasses next week, or take a punt of Doueihi, or spend my coin and upgrade Lichaa to DCE or even Cleary.

Correct to the letter of the law, but you have to create gameflow, if someone is an inch offside play on, fair enough if you are in the halves face before he gets the ball
I get what youre sayig but i think the refs aka the nrl are taking a fair stand here.
I just hope they dont back down after a couple weeks because then the players will have to pull their heads in and we'll see much better/cleaner/open footy

I agree mate and as long as its the same for both sides then that's all you can ask formy tv broke wrote:

But IMO a refs job is to uphold the laws of a game to a degree but moreso managing the flow of the game correctly, if they carry on like this and pinging every single infringement fans will lose interest pretty quickly because its boring and will go the ways of union where each ref has their own interpretation of the laws and how they enforce them
But agreed, teams need to adjust, if they are getting pinged for being a yard offside, next time make sure you are a yard behind the line
The play the ball clamp down is nuts because some get given some don't

I'm with ya on this one MTB. While at the moment it's ridiculously frustrating I think that's just because we've become accustomed to shit like offside sliding over the past years. If it takes a month or two to clean it up that'll hurt but the end product will be so much better. Imagine what the little guys can do (and the fresh ones) after 60mins when the big guys are tired.
What makes me laugh if Johns whinging at half time about it. "how are us halves supposed to beat the big guys when they're not getting tired?!?". Is he that fucking short sighted that he can't see that the end result of what they're trying to do will achieve exactly that?

Bellamy said Croft only got what would be about a month of training with Smith and Slater in the off season because they took time off. So expect big improvements as the season progresses.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 18
Well that was shit. Greeny said it right, can't just expect it to happen. Not enough effort. Agree with MTB, it sucks but they need to clamp down on the bullshit, in the long run it will be better. Had nothing to do with why we lost. Hess lazy in defense, Bowen lazy, Hampton's getting better and quicker than I thought but he's not a fullback, we need Coote back. Enari Tuala travelled to Melbourne and I don't think Bowen did enough to keep his spot and with Linnett out for extended period I think he'll be named next week.

Green should give Anderson a run while Coote is out.

If Green is doing the Storm "he's just out for a week" which turns into four weeks ala Munster last year, I would agree but Coote was close this week apparently so hopefully the point is moot.

Was thinking mid game that Bowen will be lucky to play much more NRL.. be interesting to see if youre correct. Cows look like a side that needs some fresh blood to spark em a little (comment not in any way to be miscontrued as writing them off)
