Dreamers yes that is definitely the weak spot of my team but I was thinking that's where TPJ/Rochow/whichever cow maxes out first will be going so I'll milk as much as I can out of Doueihi,JMK and Croker and then use that towards DCE etc. Not a good strategy?

I like it. Someone posted earlier that ET out for another 3 weeks so if the Bronco game was any indication he'll play 80 mins.
Tigers lost MWZ and Thompson for chunks of the game on Friday. Rochow could still well play 80 minutes, or close to it, but last Friday is not necessarily a true indication.

$405,000 in the bank
Carty the obvious pick to upgrade, but I'm reluctant when I know he can bust out some great scores and is getting the minutes
Inglis another I could upgrade? But again reluctant if he moves back to fullback
If you aren't keen on ditching either of those two, maybe just sit tight? Seems like you have all the earners you could want, with cash still to come from them and your other high value guys are holds.

Your team mate. Very good strategy. Get keepers whenever you can get them when the stars align. Stars being both players bottoming out.
I personally don’t think Cartwright has bottomed out yet but can’t argue with that upgrade and you still have TPJ for future half upgrade funding

I'm not entirely keen on holding mate, just seems like too many points I'm missing have such a large chunk of change and I'm not expecting the cheaper guys like JMK/Kennar/Doueihi to keep scoring so wellArcher wrote:

Tis' a dilemma, had looked at Carty out for Jake Friend but that would mean, JMK or Croker starting in the halves and Isaako back into the starting WFB?

The cheap cow halfs look pretty good at the moment when you compare them with some of the scores by premium halves. They may not get all the upside of a top score, but they seem to have the same kind of low end, just look at some of the recent scores by SJ (30) or Thurston (24).

Agree, but the difference between the cows and players like Johnson and JT is playing security.
Running a halves combo of Doueihi and JMK is risky because one is covering an injured player for one more game and the other could get dropped back to the bench at any point.

You can't compare the score of premium halfs who dud against the cows who have only played a few rounds, we don't know if that's their best game in terms of fantasy output!
Doueihi is pretty safe because he monsters some KM and tackles well, so his floor is pretty high, Croker and JMK are going to have to rely on attacking output to go well it seems early

Not sure on people getting rid of Catty. Didn't score well last weekend because his team got smashed.
He's still making money and one good score will help that along.
I'm holding on that trade.

Is Hiku worth bringing in either as a replacement for Manu, or as a playing 13 or backup WFB/CTR? Also, I’m thinking I need to make a move on getting a half in the near future. I’ve got 56k ITB.

Exactly they could all be Brodie Croft clones who kill it at the start of their career before turning to fantasy mud

Yeah i mean personally I'd be for trading for the exact reason you've said, not sure the value to be made on Carty as a slow burner is worth missing the points you could get in an upgrade.Welshy wrote:

I don't hate that option, Friend would get you what, 20 or 30 points more than Carty each week, if Croker/Isaako can get within 10 of Carty you're getting 10-20 points extra per week?

Maybe I'll wait on the Carty to Taupau trade as I didn't realise his be was so low so hopefully he can make another 20k or so and then I can reassess

Yep, Titans will have changes this week and if Carty lines up in the second row or halves for a few weeks he should up his scores.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 20
Forgot to mention it because I honestly just gave up on footy for the weekend; but I paid for the international streaming on the weekend (The stream i normally use shat the bed and at 4am i didn't want to faf about) and it was terrible. Don't know if my ISP/router was playing silly buggers but the stream rarely played at any reasonable quality and kept dropping out.
Will try it again this weekend because I'm a glutton for punishment, but thought I'd warn others off it for now because its far from cheap. If its the same quality I'll be asking for my money back, its going to be hard enough this season.
