while i agree that avoiding too many origin players is generally wise (was more important in years gone by), this year origin players only play one less game than non origin players.

if you go with a season keeper from round 1 who plays origin, he only needs to average just over two points higher for the year, to score more points for your team for the year, than a non origin season keeper. (this on the assumption you keep the player for the entire season. reality is, we aren't going to trade our entire team out from rnd 13 to rnd 17).

3 players at 50 points each is 150 points and the difference between winning overall and not winning overall.

What utter nonsense that is. People get paid for speculation like that too.

As if these clubs are sitting there saying I will only do it if X other player with Y club

Tolman just recently handed the number 13 jersey by Pay. He’s not going anywhere

I went Smith because he's Smith (so far a bad choice).
I went Jurbo because he was 100k cheaper than Taumalolo and I thought he was the next best pick.
I went Teddy because he's Teddy and I was expecting massive scores from him in a new team.

its actually more than that if you play a player each week in their place. Those with 3 origin players in their team that dont want to trade them out can fall 250 to 300 points behind me if I can put 16 and 17 on the park those 2 weeks.

Already have bye spreadsheet startred today. Ignoring origin 11 and 8 respectively and 6-7 of the rd 13 players are cow/ mid range that can be moved on after then

dont know what you mean here.

    my point is, for example:

origin player = 23 games = 55 point average = 1265 pts for your team for the year.
non origin player = 24 games = 51 point average = 1224 pts for your team for the year.

simply going for a non origin player doesn't always mean its the best result for your team.

Trades like that have gone down in the NBA for years, so I think it's plausible.

I'm hoping it doesn't happen, as it could affect my trade-ins of JMK and Fifita. Not that worried about Fifita, but JMK will be screwed.

Kennar out is actually good for me and reminder how important cover is. 8th in cash league at least 4 teams above me have only Kennar + 1 other CTR. Now they may have to do trade they didn't want to

Tolman’s had the tap. They’ve been trying to offload him for a while

yes, if you have no other ctrs you'd get 0 for that position.

That made my decision on who to play between Isaako and Kennar. Hope he isn't out too long.

Kennar out is a great opportunity for Siebold to switch inglis to fb, johnston wing, and slot hymel hunt to centre. But i suppose unlikely given the win on the weekend (though I didn't see the game).

AJ had a pretty solid dig at FB last weekend and GI was pretty steady off the ball also which doesnt convert to fantasy points but good for Souths.

So if Kennar's out, is this the setup:

    14.
    15.
    16.
    17. JMK/Havili
    18. Kikau
    19. Kennar
    20.
    21.

If Kikau scores well on Thursday night, switch Kennar & JMK/Havili so I get Kikau's score as AE for Kennar?
