I'm willing to take the chance he stays around for longer than that. Sometimes ya just gotta take a punt. Eg Hess, CHN

Boyd is basically running around on one leg. Kahu due back round 9-12 (gives Isaako at least another 5 weeks could be 8 ). Oates is itching to play 2RF off the bench. I think if Isaako keep playing and improving he will be a mainstay in that team, especially if Bird dishes up the shit he can.

This has been getting sprouted for a while around forums. I still think people are just joining dots. Farah was supposed to be at the raiders "within a week", during pre-season, remember? haha

I have also seen others (again, grain of salt) saying that the dogs will not release tolman this year (due to forward depth).

I think all of the above is speculation.

Boyd is improving week by week though. While always a danger of injury, I guess you'd have to say he's starting to look solid.

Kahu is the one that affects Isaako. I honestly think Kahu may find it tough to come back into the side (and i do love Kahu).

Bird will be in the side no matter what.

Oates won't play anything other than wing unless there are massive injury problems in the backrow. But if there was just one or two, then Thaiday or Sua are probably promoted.

OK, you are gonna be hard pushed to convince me of a stats based argument when you are effectively cherry picking one game when you potentially have at least all of last season and this season to work with.

I just had a quick look and it seems last season he average 52 minutes at 1ppm. And this year on a sample size of 3 he has a ppm of 1.14. So at best, unless something has changed you might be able to make the case for 52min per game @ 1.1 ppm = 57 average

    or am I missing something?

I have had him since the start, watching closely. If he gets good minutes as expected (50-55) now that Lussick is gone and being far better than their other props, his offloading in the dry this season has been great. To date we havent see close to his best and still doing ok. When things click for him on a dry track, his average will soar. Time for a break out season for him, like Lolo last year.

No surgery for Knights Connor Watson after consultation with an orthopaedic surgeon, believe managing his shoulder conservatively is his best option and will be out for 6-8 weeks

I am going to be running 2 loopholes this week with the kennar news. Really need the clarification on how they resolve them in which order. Has anyone received an official response on that and if not who do I email to get that confirmation?

Might just be my fantasy brain talking. I am loving the look of Isaako though. I think he is super solid. Hopefully Broncos can keep him around, especially with news Knights and Eels are super keen to sign TPJ

Isaako is there for a while if we go by NRL.com

    Jordan Kahu (jaw, round 9-12)
    Corey Oates (hip, round 6)

Isaako was originally replacing Bird (via Kahu to centres). He's got more security now with the injuries to both Oates and Kahu. When they are both healthy (say rd 9) he'll lose his spot but till then with goal kicking he should be a good cheapie centre. Also likely to be 1st in if there is ever an injury (say to Oates, Kahu or Boyd). A game or two over origin is possible as well.

Good thing with backs like Isaako is that in a few weeks time he have may have a boom game which he can ride to briefly above where I think he will average (30-35 ~ 450-525k). Don't need him to average more than 32 (for the season) if he gets a big game or two before I trade him out.

I don't disagree. Purely talking football, isaako has looked an accomplished well rounded player. The club has had big wraps on him for a couple of years.

Right now I only have 11 and 10 but 3 of those are going to play origin (Smith, Jurbo, Teddy)... so I think I need to start trading in round 13 players.

Taupau should have lots more points than he does. Only got 35 minutes in the blow out win on 40 degree day, but would have got 70+ with his normal minutes. Last week it was wet and he was clearly under instructions not to offload. I see him averaging 60+ with his normal minutes and dry conditions.

Hope you’re right mate! I’m obv holding as season keeper but def word of warning to new owners or suitors...

Be prepared to swear and want to throw shit at the TV when he’s the first to come off at 18-20min mark and is not seen again until deep into the second!

Will have to wait and see if the 22pts match was the outlier for AFB too
