Nah, its definitely lock out at scheduled kick-off time (if a game starts late, the player will lock out at time anyway).
There have been a couple of very late pull-outs right before the game this season that people have been able to switch players around if need be.

I remember the days of the game locking out for the weekend on Friday nights (before Thursday games). Seems forever ago now!

Hey guys, need some help on the mechanics of how your EMGs replace your red dots.

I have both Doueihi and Ponga out this week and wondering if I can double loop.

My Team currently is - but Im thinking because Guth, Hiku, and Mann are all WFBs that I probably cant...right?

    Cook
    Fifita, Taupau
    JTrbo, Martin, Tolo
    SJ, DCE,
    Isaako, Holland,
    Ponga (red dot), Teddy, RTS

    1. Cam
    2. Farrah
    3. McInnes
    4. Doueihi (red dot)
    5. Guth
    6. Arrow
    7. Hiku
    8. Mann

Any suggestions of how to best make use of the loopholes this week?

Because Guith, Hiku and Mann are all WFBs you can't double loop with them the way you are set up.

I think the best double loop is playing Guth as your WFB and ordering reserves like this.

    1. Cam
    2. McInnes
    3. Ponga
    4. Doueihi
    5. Arrow
    6. Farah
    7. Mann
    8. Hiku

Then you get a free look at Farah and Arrow and can sub Mann in if either of them stuff up.

    Or start Ponga and have

    1. Cam
    2. McInnes
    3. Farah
    4. Arrow
    5. Doueihi
    6. Guth
    7. Mann
    8. Hiku

then swap DOueihi and Mann if Gutherson stinks it up.

the 2nd option more likely to give you a benefit, unless you are really worried Farah/Arrow will suck and Mann might do better.

    Cheers.

What about if I set up with:
    1. Cam
    2. McInnes
    3. Farah
    4. Doueihi
    5. Guth
    6. Hiku
    7. Arrow
    8. Mann

    Ponga in starting.

Am I right in thinking that allows me to look at Hiku and sub in Mann to WFB if Hiku stinks & then also get a look at Guth and make a call if I want Arrow instead?

If Hiku goes really well (unlikely but possible) I guess I then I have to make a call as to who plays as my 17th man (probably put in Arrow).

Im thinking that might be the best of all the options - what do you think?

I guess Im tending to that option because 1) Im not hugely confident when Guth is at C and 2) I think Mann will go pretty well v the Dogs

Just be aware that as currently ranked, it is Guth that will sub in for Ponga and not Hiku (which I'm pretty sure you know, but just making it explicit).
Should still work though and give you a bit of flexibility on the off chance that Hiku kills it.

OK cool, thanks for clarifying. Yeah if Hiku went big I'd switch Arrow and Guth.

    Will see how things unfold!

    Hey lads,  is it worth looping Marsters or a forward?  Not sure what I can do but it's probably based on my trade.  I was actually thinking about still upgrading Reynolds to James and double looping;

    Cook
    Fifita Taupau
    Crichton Tolo JTurbo
    SJ Cleary
    Aitken Marsters
    Teddy Ponga Mitchell

    Smith Martin Farah Arrow

ARey Holland Clifford Red Dot(Rooster CTR)

I may end up just trading Ponga to Turbo/RTS anyway but I think getting a James in as I don't really want to be stuck with Arrow, if I only use one trade on Ponga.  Have 2 trades.

Sorry, I don't know why I posted this haha.

EDIT: Will probably have to just trade Ponga and be stuck with Arrow.

If anything I'd try and loop either ARey/Arrow or Arrow/Martin and use one trade for RTS/Trbo (Trbo if you can...annoying that he's playing first tho…)

Would love to hear if I've got my thinking right on my team and double looping too...would hate to have overlooked something and mess it up as I've got a big H2H this weekend (extreme bragging rights)

    Team:
    Cook
Fifita (B.Grey - Red dot Rooster)
    Lolo Taupau Jurbo
    Cleary DCE
    Aitken Mitchell
    Ponga RTS Tedesco

Johnson McInnes Farah S.Katoa (hopefully red dot)

    CS9 R. Martin Surgess Arrow

My thinking is that if Surgess does well then keep him and Arrow like that as the highest of them will take the score from the playing red dot
If Surgess sucks then swap Martin and Arrow and hope Arrow does better

If CS9 sucks then swap Katoa for Martin

(Have one trade left for Ponga...Only have 19k bank so will either get Marsters/Fergo/Dugan)

    Am I missing anything obvious?

It all looks good to me. Just keep your fingers crossed that Katoa is indeed a red dot

I'm in a similar position. If Katoa plays, just means he has to play Martin, regardless of what Smith has scored. (unless we find out early enough that he can put Smith into the 17 before his game and forget about looping)

Yeah- I'm nervous for them both...(The Storm are never good at being up front about injuries...)

I'll decide properly in an hours time

    Wolfy I would either

    17. Roosters red dot
    18. Arey
    19. Arrow

Swap Arrow in over Arey if required. Short timeframe to do this with the games straight after each other

    Or

    3. Red dot

    20. Marsters
    21. Holland

Swap Holland into 19 if Marsters isn't good enough

Here is a looping opportunity which I am not sure is really worth doing. If you want to give it a go set your team as follows:

    Cook
    Fifita Taupau
    Crichton Tolo JTurbo
    SJ Cleary
    Aitken Marsters
    Teddy Holland Mitchell

Smith Martin Ponga Red Dot(Rooster CTR)

    Farah ARey Arrow Clifford

If Farah is shit you will be able to move two of the players behind him in the queue into Ponga and Red Dot's position
If Farah is good you will be able to move one of the players behind him in the queue into Red Dot's position

You could also start with Martin in a position behind Farah id you think he will be a lower scorer than ARey or Arrow (or even Clifford)

    Good Luck

PS Wolfy, if you have a trade left I'd use it on Ponga.

Can't think it likely you'll get a better option next week (unless you care about H2H and want to retain some flexibility just in case)

Thanks mate, missed this before.  I did trade Ponga but to James which didn't work.  Now im fucked and will have to use my last trade on Martin or Aitken to get a back.
