Not for me. The second trade is a little irrelevant run of mill move, unless it’s a vital 14-17 45pt player you’re lacking.

this is basically cam Smith to Edwards which is worse than sideways and I’m an advocate for trading cam in a 2 for 1 gun move scenario.

At fullback we have Ponga already there and assume you probably have someone like Tedesco too.

Cam is more interesting as a way to get Koroisau/Friend +1 gun other position or using Cam to fix a half (SJ, DCE) which is a diabolical position this year, unlike WFB

    My team is

    CS9
    Arrow TPJ
    Murray Jurbo RFM
    DCE Croker
    Mitchell Isaako
    Turbo Ponga Thompson

    Cook Rochow Kikau Lodge

    Doui Havili Kennar Katoa

    108K ITB

I am thinking of CS9 to RTS/Edwards/Teddy. Storm play first so I cant see if Turbo gets the run before storm play.

With Turbo at 19 this week and Kennar still out I need another WFB to cover.

Need some help team! In a similar position to @Blain, too many forwards, now stuck with Doueihi, Carty, and JMK..

    Option A: N. Brown + Carty OUT - DCE/SJ/Koro + JFH IN (91-222k)

    Option B: NAS + Carty OUT - Koro + JFH IN (28k)

Option C: Carty OUT - Any half under ARey... Maloney is same price and miss the same tackles lol

I need a half but can't get a gun without double trading N Brown or NAS

I also have put myself in the situation of too many forwards. Smith, Cook, Griffin, Lodge, Arrow, Kikau, TPJ, Murray, Whitehead, RFM, Rochow. Can't even play one of them that's how many I've got. Saying that, I can't justify trading any out at this stage though. I can see the premise in trading Whitehead come to think of it, but he's been great in a poor team. May get better again if the team actually improves.

That's why I'll probably just trade Carty to Maloney for the short term and hope he can average around 25.

Definitely NAS out before Brown. I'd be keeping Brown.

@StormTrooper96 nice team man. Maybe bring in Hiku/Crichton via Havili. Hiku gives you cover long term and won't need to rush to trade out, but Crichton is super cheap

@Wolfking Cheers. Yeah, only reason I'm thinking him is Eels are getting pumped and Brown is barely averaging 45, so frees up cash. Alternatively, Brown and NAS out i can get Koro + DCE or Friend haha wasting trades is too easy

    Teddy Ponga Thompson

    Griffin Sao Carty Godinet
    Nicholls Lui Havilli Papalii

Is Kikau worth getting if you didn't start with him?

With Turbo at 19 this week and Kennar still out I need another WFB to cover.

As Expected, not Tedesco but Turbo. Turbo Ponga Thompson is completely fine WFB. That is not where I’d be focusing a cam smith downgrade. Just use your money in the bank to get a reasonable CTrWFB in for Katoa. That will cover your Turbo (short term) and Kennar situation.

Let Havili peak in price if you can. Every free dollar helps and your 14-17 is fine.

You already hve DCE so in a much better position than the average one of us.

In your spot if fed up with Smith I’d be looking at Friend like for like or even a versatile Koroisau for more money in the bank to service a second gun move soon. In other words another hooker for my smith.

Hear from Welshy or others though. I’ve seen he and others keen on a WFB for Cam. Just opposes the way I’ve always played the game and even if getting a gun WFB I’d also want a second gun somewhere for him. It’s cam smith after all, even if a duddier one today

Hey man, thanks for the info. My thoughts is I may as well keep Katoa for one more week and see if he gets named next week. Apparently was pretty close this week. Going off of MTB's site Croker and Havili's BE are starting to get pretty close to their average. I might just sit tight on Cam this week and wait and see if any news comes up on Turbo Playing or not before Saturday (when Storm play) and then reassess from there.

With Surgess and TTurbo now out I've had to rethink my week.

Looking like I'll have to keep Carty this week and hope he plays a few more minutes.

Does anybody have any thoughts on:
    Thurston > R.Rochow
    L.Sao > JFH

    This leaves 52k ITB

People going on about the uselessness of Maloney probably don't realise that from 2013 - 2016 he averaged over 40 points.

No worries. As someone pointed out, the difference between 400th and 100th is bugger all, so I wouldn't worry about doing anything drastic at this point. Your team looks good to me and you have all the key guys IMO. Trades look good this week. Hopefully Havili can score ok, or perhaps even you could take a punt on Croker (he's playing the Titans from memory in a day game, could score ok). Then yeah, next week as you say, cash out Havili and start building a war chest for upgrades.

Fuck it, Whitehead to Johnson for me. Carty to Maloney. Will hopefully jump from Maloney to a rising guy like Moses or Morgan once they sort themselves out in 3-4 weeks, just as Maloney peaks bounce

People always bang on about his negatives, but there are another 10 scoring categories that allow him to add to his score.

A score of 40 that includes 16 negatives is worth the same as a score of 40 that includes 2 negatives.

Undecided. But being the same price as Carty makes him look convenient.

I was considering Maloney in pre season. 2017 was a down year for him, and he has done well when moving to a new club in the past.
The loss of goal kicking made him a no go, but now that he has it back, and will be the main general play kicker, then he is back on the table as an option
