Is there anyone $425k or cheaper that I've missed...I really don't want Maloney but it might be a case of needs must. Would also mean I wouldn't have to trade Doueihi. Could do Havili or Croker instead.

I'm 7k short of Doueihi to JFH. Sigh. I've been holding onto TPJ but to get anyone really decent I might have to trade him.

Similar sort of risk as Maloney, but with higher floor and lower ceiling.
IF Maloney makes money it will be quick with a negative BE. Lamb with BE 47 will be a lot slower IF he makes money. I'm thinking of Cartwright to Maloney purely for cash grab although I already have a stack of mediocre halves.

Think it was Lolo's run that had Yeo off on the 1st run in the 2nd half.

Haven't been posting as much, on holidays, limited internet etc. Missed the Eels game also. Should I be worried about Brown?

I am leaning towards ditching Cam Smith now
Just have in mind the minor injury Munster got a few years ago that saw him miss a month of football. I am concerned Smith is going to see a few weeks of lower scores as he attempts to play through injury. If they still had Cronk maybe they'd give him a week off but that might be a luxury they can't afford these days.

Loomer wrote:I have Mbye and DCE as halves and sold Carty last week so not desperate for Maloney. I really think 30 average next 4 isn't unrealistic the way he misses tackles so $112k gain not sure is worth it
Certainly there is a massive difference between buying Maloney as a $112k CC vs as a $112k CC + an extra 15 points per game....
That being said, 4 weeks at 35 (as Milch points out) makes it a $150k gain which I would argue is well worth it as a CC alone.
Im buying on the upside potential that he could even go at 40.
Time will tell but as someone who does need a half replacement (and doesn't have the cash to go to a gun) Maloney is a no brainer.

Who would you move him on for Milchy? A gun half, another hooker in friend, a gun WFB? Whats your thoughts.

Smith > Macca
Carty > Maloney
If Smith isn't kicking then that is a worry.
Will have to trust Merrin can hit a 40 and stay stable pricewise.

Ideally whoever I trade in for Cartwright sticks around for a while, so total cash (and total points scored) is more important than cash speed.
With a few other cows potentially needing trades soon, I don't want to deliberately bring someone in with a timespan of only a month in my team

Yeah, cheers Ranta, I forgot about that. Pretty sure Yeo can't remember it either.

Ahhh, that was it, Lolo killed Yeo. Still pumped out a 40 in 48 the week before, but yeah, makes me go a bit cold on him.
He is in form, had a great game, is priced at 30pnt avg, is named to start at Lock... Despite the extra minutes.... What is not to like? I expect him to avg 40+

Wouldnt Yeo going off affect kikau and CNH minutes. JFH was playing in the middle

Shortlist McCullough, DCE, maybe JTurbo or Fifita
If Stimson will kick (and keep his starting spot when Kaufusi returns) then thinking about him too, but probably not as direct Smith replacement

Yep, I was assuming JFH slotted back into the Second Row but CHN played 40, so that would have been the entire second half for Yeo. It's a strange minutes game though as Merrin still only got 41 himself. Did JFH slot into Lock perhaps at some stage?

Why isn't anyone talking bout Smith being rested over origin if he's carrying an injury ?
