Is this true and if so is the NRL investigating ??? If you fail you don't get a 2nd shot and surely you can't wait 50 mins to administer it. Which begs the question why didn't he come back sooner ?

I think he went off because of a groin niggle

Bolton scored reasonably well last season IIRC but he's probably too expensive. He and Taumalolo have more of a job to do now with McLean out.

Aren't you better off getting Leota for 10k more now? BE of -4 I think. Played 26 and 33 minutes since McKendry injured

@Loomer I’m not sold on Leota either. He scored a try on the weekend and Yeo went off. Didn’t look super damaging imo. Griffin seems to be playing around with the forwards and I can’t see Leota being a key feature moving forward.

Yeah looked at last year's stats and similar minutes not great scores

Yep, Bolton really stood up last year without Matt Scott. I started with him and worked his way into decent minutes but I traded him too early, maybe Round 5 or thereabouts. I hadn't considered him with McLean out. Decent shout for a POD that could average 40/45.

This is the last week that the -4 will count for Maloney's score.

Personally, I don't think it is possible, but not likely, that he will make enough cash to be worth spending a trade on. BUT, most people will be spending a trade anyway in ditching Cartwright and not much else tempting at that price range.

The other option I would consider is Brock Lamb

Disappointing 16 last week in his first start, but averaged 39 last year.
    Priced at under 25.
With Pearce around he will drop some of his 230 kick metres a game, but still a consideration.

If he loses general play kicking as well, then I think he might be a sell.

My thoughts were if he averages 55 or more, then no point selling. 50 or less then it might be worth moving him on. Averaged 15 points a game last year in conversions/general kicking. Losing that is a big blow.

I didn't realise he was so cheap-366k. Not for me, he was too painful last year, WL I think from memory held him till the end and got some payback though. But yeah, an option for those who refuse to take Maloney.

With news of Smithy carrying a QUAD injury I can see why he might be a little down at the moment. When you think about it, he scored 61 in game 1 and that is apparently when he picked it up. I am leaning towards leaving him in because surely he is only 1 week maybe 2 away from kicking and as time goes on his leg will get better and he will improve. By the end of the year he will average out around 60

Arrow is a keeper but JFH is going to save you 120k-what serves you better at this stage?

Rochow is a great buy still in my opinion, but has Aloiai/Sue/McQueen breathing down his neck.  Tigers keep winning then he is safe though.

I am having a sneaky look at JFH myself this week.

I honestly am not too worried about keeping long term, only because my 2RF are already stacked and I'm purely trading to cover the 2 week suspension of SBurgess. Cartwright was initially my cover but he's going to play sweet F-all minutes.

I think money in the bank is most important to me at the moment, seeing as how I have almost none currently.

The trade, at the moment, is looking like:

    Thurston --> Maloney
    L.Sao --> JFH.

Then banking the rest for when I need it.

    Which will leave me with:

    C.Smith
    M.Lodge V.Kikau
    RFM JFH JTurbo
    JMK Maloney
    L.Mitchell Hiku
    Teddy Thompson Isaako

    Havili, Croker, Cartwright, Doueihi

    TTurbo, Surgess, Kennar, TPJ

    136k ITB.

Also, am I a bad person or just an idiot if I captain Maloney in the hopes the Eels have a shocker this week?

Lamb made 31 tackles last week for his score of 16.

-20 in negatives (last years average was -Cool

0 attacking stats, so if he can start getting some TBs/LBAs etc and keep the negatives down, then an average in the 30s very achievable.

Similar sort of risk as Maloney, but with higher floor and lower ceiling.

What’s the likely scores for JFH. I thought JFH stats were inflated with Yeo coming off with a HIA. Is he likely to score 35-40 each week?

Haha, that last bit is perfect.

Pearce is just so dominant though.
