Do we think JMK has done enough to keep his spot despite the losses? Might be a better trade in and cheaper option next week instead of Maloney.

With Titans playing late in the round, not sure I'm willing to take a punt on Cartwright on the off chance (especially if he just goes back to the bench next week)
Actually, Maloney plays after Titans, so I might reverse Maloney/Carty and see what happens.
Got confused because when wondering when Maloney plays I just looked for when the Sharks game was.
Anyone else doing that? Couple of times this year I was surprised that Tedesco was locked out well before the Tigers game.

What was the general consensus regarding Surgess? Keep or Trade out? I havent been following the thread's much this week. I guess it depends on depth/how you are currently placed?

He was becoming Maloney and probably still will, but I can wait and if he does start in the second row, will considering hanging onto him.
I think if Cartwright starts 2nd row, I might trade Croker to Maloney instead.

Hmmm.....I don't know if I want to spend 50K odd to get Maloney honestly. Him and Carty being the same price made it less painful, but it's not a bad option.

I don't see why not. He was good in defence last night. All he's missing the past two games is attacking stats but hopefully that comes next week.

I wouldnt say mathews has a mortgage on the 2nd row spot so if carty did start and have a good game then perhaps he holds onto it for future.
Pretty tempting to save the trade really.

Yep, really good article.
I always try to consider the trade off when trading for cash or trading for points.
The way I look at things is that roughly $15,000 of price increase can get you an extra 1 point per week remaining in a replacement player. If I'm looking at bringing in a cash cow and they may earn $30,000 for 4 more weeks (eg Doueihi) - the extra $120,000 gets me a player that can earn an extra 8 point per week over say 20 more weeks (depending on when we are in the season). That gets me an extra 160 points over the season. We need to consider the alternatives to decide whether there's anything better I can do with the trade.
It means that using trades earlier carries a lot more value - the extra dollars we get sooner can be used for a couple of extra points per week over more weeks.

Also I’ve got to not play one of these: Arrow Lodge Rochow Griffin Kikau TPJ. Which one do I leave out tonight? I’m thinking Lodge or Griffin.

Yeah, if Carty starts might save the trade and get him next week instead.

Tough, probably Lodge but his minutes should increase on last week.

At his best, I think he is a better player than Matthews and should start on the edge over him.
Does Brennan agree? and can Carty play well enough to retain a starting spot?

Arrow does not enter the conversation at all. You are definitely playing him.
I'd be tempted to ditch TPJ. Even if he plays this week it may be off the bench, or with a limited role.
Otherwise its a coin flip.

Think I'll stick with bringing in JFH and hope he puts on a stack more cash. Who to leave out of these 6 if I can only pick 4?
