    Obviously speculation etc.

i think that is his stance. he has plead not guilty and the raiders are standing by him. the "reports" suggest he was taking a leak behind the pub (or whatever it was) and the three guys provoked him.

Solid Team, seeing as you beat me in H2H last week Finger Not trading this week is definitely an option. You have a good squad and all are going pretty good right now (bar Dugan and GI) I don't think your centres are too much of a worry this week. Could definitely bank the trades but if anything I thinkg GI is your only sell this week if you want to make one

Cheers ST. Honestly, I just got it right last week. Bar for one position playing Doughy over JMK. But other than that, from the C selection through my guys fired. I don't actually play H2H so had no idea I'd beat you (literally looked at it for the first time just now following your mention of it, it looks No Vomit for me) but cranked out a 918 which moved me up the overall ranks so was happy with that.

Not too stressed about Dugan. Having him out the last two weeks has been a bit shit but I'll persist with him for the moment. If I had an easy swap for GI I'd do it. Could even dump him for Gosie but don't really like the looks of him. It would free up some more bank though I guess and I have depth in the outside backs I suppose. Think I'll just bank though, gives me a week to watch a few guys and make a move next week.

I'm going to pass on JFH - more as a reverse POD than anything. Also I can't bring him in for Doueihi in a single trade. I've gone for Terepo instead (low ownership, plays rd 13)

Don't get what everyone is seeing in Gosiewski. Didn't look great in the Titans match, and previous stats don't set the world on fire. Happy for him to prove me wrong because he'll make a good cashout in the next week or so in that case.

    @Mearcats

GI and Dugan (when they play CTRs) are more expensive and equivalent to Thompson (FLB or WNG) and Kennar. Better bang for buck.

I'd rearrange your team to look like this Smile

    Cook
    Kapow Lodge
    Arrow JFH RFM
    Maloney DCE
    Mitchell Kennar
    Teddy Ponga Thompson

    CS9 Kikau Dugan GI
    JMK Doueihi CChrichton Luai

When you put it like this it makes GI and Dugan look like tradeouts Smile along with Doueihi while hes playing no 14.

    With 264k you can go

Doueihi -> Gosiewski / Holmes (take your pick as they'll likely be in EMG anyway)
Dugan -> Fifita (rd 13 player and gun)

You'd need to play two of JMK, Maloney and GI (starting HLF and 17th man) and it leaves you with a bit over/under 100k to make trades the following week and is a huge points upgrade.

you could get really deep into some conspiracy theories re croft & jacks long term spot in storm side when you add this:

Chrichton isn't all that bad, he should see more games and hopefully all he needs is a big game to get him going.  What about Doueihi to Gossie for a punt?  Bank another 100+K and hopefully he keeps the spot and earns some coin himself?  Would give you loads to upgrade GI to Guth via Kennar plus money left over to upgrade a Lodge or RFM, maybe with another downgrade later.  In regards to Maloney I have him and looks like I will have to play him this week if I keep Murray but if I had JMK, I'd play him over Maloney.

In reality though, you don't really need to trade, unless you're worried about Doueihi losing money.

Doughy losing money is one thing that concerns me, less so than a few people on here. I'm prepared to hold him for another week or two to see what happens at Souths and with a few other players. I would make the straight swap from he or GI to Gosie if I had any faith in the bloke but I just don't. Feel he is another player that will do well for the Sea Eagles IRL but not so much for fantasy relevance.

I'll play Maloney over JMK. Likely a stupid move but the ceiling is what tempts me and I love a bit of a gamble.

I mean, I definitely agree with what you are saying and I don't see it happening either but what if it's the best fit for the team? If Jacks flops and Smith continues to have to jump in and play as a half Bellamy is quickly running out of options. Surely you give Brandon a chance sooner rather than later...

I went to school with Brandon Smith up here and that guy is a machine. He is built like a brick shit house! Was a really great tackler growing up and would hurt you everytime he tackled you. He was getting into the wrong crowds around year 11 and 12 but I am glad he pulled his head in along the way. I will be very happy to see him playing for the Storm at 9 in the coming years (hopefully this year). So glad we got his signature. He is already running around with the NZ Kiwis. He will be captaining that team in the years to come.

Kirwan still a rough school? Had a great League tradition when I was growing up. Mind you I ended up at Iggy Park after getting expelled from boarding school in Charlie's Trousers Very Happy

What on earth is there to gain by having the best player to ever lace up a boot touching the ball less? He may be getting older but he still controls the game to a tee.

Mmmm, really nice analysis Cap and I hadn't rearranged my team to look at it this way! I'm well convinced Gi is a trade, have been for a few weeks, just procrastinated a little to long and now the money gap is an annoying number for me. I'm keen on holding Dugan due to the uncertainty regarding positions at Cronulla (would only take one average game from three different players for Moylan to get shifted at this point in time) and Dugan has shown while at the Dragons he can still score well from CTR. Whether he does in a different team or not is an entirely different kettle of fish but I'll hold for now.

I would love to bring Fifita in but think it may have to wait a few weeks. Holmes is a definite no for me and Gosi is a wait and see. I'm with the group here that hasn't seen anything out of him to make me inclined to get him.

@Mearcats My humble philosophy is, if there's too many question marks, don't trade. You shouldn't lose too much money anywhere, and after the round something more obvious may pop up.

I thought about Dufty to Aiken but need a downgrade option to bring in some gun forwards

With Livo gone from Kirwan the new Principal is turning it onto a boarding school. New poshy uniforms, big prison like gates around the whole school. The whole faculty it all about league though. One of my other good mates Michael Barclay (Played Aus 18's, QLD 18's and Cowboys 20's. However had a bad bad run of injuries and never got back into it) played for the bears in highscool (Kirwans team) and he would go and have milo and bikkies with the principal once a week. Circle Jerk Love the good old showdowns between Iggy and Kirwan

CS9, Arrow and Tedesco all considerations for captain this week for me.

CS9 obviously for the safety, even if he might not hit the potential highs of the other two. Arrow was amazing last week but also had the try under his belt. Titans versing the Panthers at home this week and, as a bias Panthers fan, I don't see them going as big as last week. Tedesco versing a weakened bunnies pack with two of their safest defenders out. Can see quite a few line breaks and tries from him this week but it's just as likely he remains quiet and lets the halves do their thing.....

    Thoughts?

Who would you play. Leaning towards Maloney
