As someone who isn't a "regular" poster but does pop in to at least view most days, damn it is off-putting when so often that I check in it's regularly a couple of specific people spouting personal attacks and just generally being fuckheads.

Yep. This is the NRL Fantasy thread, a place to talk about Fantasy with comments about the games thrown in also. At the end of the day this is a game, we are here to have fun, to do the best we can, post gifs on Page 51/52/53 and have avatar bets. Maybe there should be a separate thread where people can write insults to each other, a place to sort out the avatar bets would be good too.

I am a newbie here and the personal attack stuff is just weird. I know the dude is just trolling but everyone else is just talking Fantasy and then some guy randomly just appears attacking someone else in his posts. I get that he probably has a gimmick that he is playing to but I expect that kind of stuff on places like Reddit, not small communities like this.
Still, I have learned a lot in my short time here so it won't stop me visiting

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 30
The forum is lightly moderated due to the fact that 99% of posts and posters don't require it. That is the beauty of this site/page verses some others, as Fanatics tends to attract very similar people in regards their general awesomeness .
If we ever feel that a particular post or poster is detrimental to others then we do deal with it. Generally that is done behind closed doors so as to not alienate individuals. You will see the odd mod comment towards a poster on the threads, but if that is not heeded then it is followed up via PM, and then further if required. Thankfully this rarely happens.
There has definitely been a bit of animosity creep in over the last few weeks, and that is not what we are about. The friendly banter is part and parcel of our Community; the snarkiness and personal attacks are not.
In short, be a decent human being and all will be good If you can't do that, then NRL Fantasy Fanatics is not for you.

Re: 2018 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 30
As SI put it, we don't often feel the need to police anyone on the forums. Even when things get off topic, general banter and such is perfectly okay. This isn't a place we want people to come to and feel the need to vent anger, have personal attacks on one another, or try and provoke reactions. We are here to talk about Fantasy Football, and to post Rapana Emoticons.
Lets get back to fantasy. Who are people looking at trading in and out this week?
Su'a the number one trade in, with guys like Lodge and Griffin flying out?

Thinking of Lodge and TPJ to Smith and someone under $450k, maybe Gosie (Sua probably a better option, but been put off Broncos forwards). Will hold Fifita if under 4 weeks out.
Anyone think of a better way to spend $1.27m?

So Sl and Random you are both ducky the subject.
We have some newer members commenting about someone and some long term members starting to react to someone.
Rabs may have a history of fun and outrage but I don't see how some of his comments regarding other members of this forum in the last couple of weeks add to this forum. Thse posts have nothing to do with our fantasy football.

To the contrary, my post was to reassure the newer posters. Further to this, the older posters who post against the spirit of the forum are aware of what will happen.
Edit by Random: Adding this here because I don't want to extend the matter further than this post. But we have discussed it, and going forward for the time being. It won't be acceptable. We don't mind guys joking and stuff, and that's why we rarely delete posts that may be considered personal attacks. As is the nature of the forum, and shit talking in general.
With that said, we are going to be less leniant to what we perceive as personal attacks, baiting other people and just general unproductive negativity on the forum the next few weeks. This extends beyond just Rabbit himself, and expands across the entire forum. If you do feel like we let something slip through the cracks don't hesitate to PM myself, SI or any other member of the moderation staff.

I like the Smith trade. Players for under 450k you could consider are JMK, Jacks, Gosiewski, Su'a, Terepo, Capewell.

Hiku out for JFH and Inglis out for C. Scott?
Or too sideways? Would rather have Aitken but can’t afford him..

Have TPJ, Doughy and possibly Rochow to deal with this week. Already have Sau, so maybe goisk is the go for doughy. Hopefully we get some injury news on Murray early in the week.

I like JFH in but do you think Hiku deserves another chance? Can you do Inglis to JFH?

Most of my jabs are at Welshy, since he can handle it.
It is why we have 47 Rapana Emoticons.
