I just remembered how much I hate having Cronk in my team. God damn, soulless robot.

I had locked in the following.

    Lodge > Surgess
    Doughi > Rein

Now considering ditching Cronk. Which opens up a huge can of worms.

    I can go:
    Doughi> Rein
    Cronk to Koro/Matterson.
    Or,
Cronk >Surgess (Move Maloney into 13)

    Final option

    Cronk > Sj
    Lodge > Rein

But, this mean I need to hold Doughi and my bench looks like:
Murray (if he plays), Rein, Havili, Kikau.

Im leaning towards sticking to original plan.

For reference this is what my team looks like:

    Cook
    Arrow Lodge
    Jurbo, RFM, Harris
    DCE, Cronk
    JCroker, Isaako
    Teddy, Ponga, Hiku

    JFH, Kikau, Murray, Havili

    Nichols, Maloney, Doueihi, Gosie

haha i posted the article just above. Brennan didn't actually say he will be an 80 minute hooker, and suggested 'they have options' if rein needs a break. Unless that bench changes though, gotta assume Rein will play 80 or very close to it.

Haha so you did! But If played close to 70mins he can be a gun. Just hope in a month he can put on close to 200k which is currently Lichaas price then upgrade from there

Rippin and Tearin wrote:Conservatively would it be reasonably to expect 0.6 ppm out of Rein and worst case scenario he plays 60min per game? => 36 points on average as a floor?

Looking at past 4 seasons of stats he has averaged high 40s on nearly ~65 min per game.

Unless something has either changed with him or the roll he will play at the Titans he has to be the buy of the week right?

On top of that if he plays 80 min as reported then he should hit high 40s maybe even 50.

So putting all that together worst case he averages 35 for 4 weeks (6 weeks in brackets) and makes 90k (120k)
    40 for 4 (6) = 130k (180k)
    45 for 4 (6) = 170k (230k)
    50 for 4 (6) = 200k (290k)

Based on that Im bringing him in this week. Will add Su'A next week if he goes well again this week.

Edit: Article posted above puts more context around this (as I was posting) and suggests the main risk could be that Peats is back in 3 weeks perhaps. But even still it wouldn't be a disaster and the upside is super tempting.

Why are you expecting Rein to get any more than Peats's pre-injury average of 32?

Was going to bring in Sua for Griffen this week, which left me with 1 hooker (Cook). Super stoked to hear Rein looking like a good option here, 4-6 weeks even at say 60 minutes, he'll make good $$, and should be worth a bench spot. Sua was just going to be a Emergency for me.

Also give me enough coin to grab Surgess, upgrade for AFB with $50 ITB.

Trades are being used, but I think my team is looking set for a couple weeks, barring injuries and possibly moving TPJ (depending how he looks this week)/Nicholls/Croker on for a cow.

It sounds like you don't think Taumalolo (from a previous post) is a good choice but you are lining up Thurston as a stepping stone to a gun, using an extra trade to do that? Tell me that's not right!

Taumalolo is nearly $800k. He had a freak year last year that I dont think he'll repeat. I think probably priced about right for average  and don't need to rush him in.

Thurston could easily drop below $500k in 2 weeks time, so is a very different proposition to Lolo.

Cowboys turning their form around would improve prospects of both players

FWIW, I'm most likey going to trade Griffin and Lodge before TPJ and Rochow. Rochow being in a moon boot is a concern though. No wonder he played like shit.

Always wondered what FWIW is but I don't have Griffin and I traded Lodge last week. So only trade out options this week are Kennar, who I want to keep for now, Rochow and TPJ

Peats had Rein on the bench.. Titans don't really have any other back up, so likely to play big minutes.

Im tempted to divert and jump on SJ rather than Surgess.

IS having SJ and DCE greedy?

    Or

    a starting forward pack of

    Surgess, Arrow
Jurbo, Harris, JFH (RFM Kikau Murray) on bench.

Peats and Rein were sharing time.
Now the only other hooker in the squad is Ryan Simpkins and he is outside the 17. So unless they try something like Cartwright at hooker, Rein looks good fish a big minute role, where he has scored well in the past.

If he does get 80 minutes hell make 40 tackles without missing too many, and anything else is a bonus.

I'm leaning towards bringing him in for Doueihi. Keep most of my bankroll for later.

PLus Reins PPM is good and used to produce 48 PPG when playing Hooker full time

Biggest problem for those of us with Rein, Maloney etc, is that they will all be likely trade outs before origin.

I am burning through so many trades right now that there is little chance of bye planning. Going to have to screw it and hope for the best

If I have Fifita and Murray as my 16 and 17 and nether play do I get the players I have as my 18 and 19 points?

No real difference between option 2 and 3. You are either playing Maloney in your halves or on your bench.

I like the third option personally but that's cause SJ is so fun to watch. Option 2 is more balanced (i.e. more cash for trades in following weeks)
