Rein scores 40-45 and increases 20-25k and you have better idea of situation. I don't think he's worth getting this week for sake of 25k

maybe brooks did some serious damage when he burrowed between his legs.SI wrote:Those with Turbo, he looked like his ankle was fucked again with 10 to go.
I'll be putting him in jersey 17 in case he is a late scratching playing Sunday. Fantasy stud Jono Wright in the 21 again but Kelly also played wounded so who knows. Anyone read anything about Turbo?
i am looking very closely at tturbs. at current avgs he will outscore edwards (second highest wfb avg) by 40 points come years end, even though he plays origin. a thompson>tturbs could work out very well if you go soon.
only problem is he is injury prone..

Welcome mate! I shall now call you charms! As for your team fella, not too shabby at all. Light in the halves (but you'll be aware of that) and the obvs Nofo mofo that needs to gogo but other than that looks pretty good. You're one of a very few I've seen running JBrom. Have him from the get go?
In the coming weeks, asides from those you've already stated, keep an eye on JMK (one low score from his BE catching his avg very quickly) and Hiku. If you've been following for a bit you may have seen my post regarding a few of our more "peaking" players and this covered the likes of Hiku, Isaako etc. For now I think you're doing pretty well though mate!
Glad to have you on board and welcome to the house of fun!
Happily will be Charms for you,
did you see my recent trades? looking at Nofa & Mansour > DCE & Rein so hopefully slowly fixing...
Absolutely saw your post and I have a lot approaching their peak meaning some tough trade weeks coming up.
As for JBrom, I've had him from week one, I think I had nostalgia to his quality form before he got caught with sugar boogers. With his starting price I couldn't say know, I'll look at upgrading him in the coming weeks as well, this week will be very interesting for the coming weeks

BTW, the earlier post was by no means a dig StormTrooper bro, just something that you may not have thought of that is worthwhile taking into consideration!

As you can probably tell from my posts this morning mate, I'm not sold on Rein but that is purely subjective. Otherwise, trades are
JBrom enticed me early. Was just a bit too far of a reach for me to be tempted but I'm glad to see him getting a little of his old mojo back. Always loved him as a player and not so long ago he was fantasy gold. Hopefully the nose beers situation made it clear to him that he ain't above the game and needs to continue to knuckle down and work week to week. Should be fine for a few more weeks with a low BE. Will put you in a decent position to have a look at Surgess or another rd13 gun leading into that round.

Cowboys (A) - Bulk Tackles, maybe some scoots when the bench forwards come on
Sharks (H) - Lots of tackles, may get tired from the size of the pack
Raiders (A) - Big pack but also very slow pack, scoot scoot!
Storm (A) - Tackling all night here, not much room to move around the ruck

Su'a is named on the bench now, negative BE is nice though.
Rein, unlikely he plays an entire 80 minutes. Still highest potential to score well. Will he make enough to warrant a cash out in 4 weeks though.
Cogger, Watson and Lamb could show up at anytime. Is probably the slowest cash earner, but is the cheapest option.
Similar to yourself, however I was torn with Capewell,
My thought process was who did I feel would give me the best opportunity of points having them as apart of my 17,
This made me doubt Cogger, and thought I could hold out on Capewell for a week and gamble Rein.
Just how I thought it through...

Mearcats wrote:Just as a side note, using PPM's to create a number that a player should score over 80 minutes that never plays 80 minutes is inherently flawed lads. A PPM comparison for an 80 minute backrower is fine as they play 80 week in week out. Using it for someone like Rein who hasn't played more than 53 minutes all year will bite you in the arse.
Fatigue effects all players, especially bench hookers suddenly thrust into a full time role in a match where they have to defend a shit load.
Exactly right. I'd expect a 20-30 minute bench hooker to out PPM a 60 minute hooker most of the time

All this chat has got me leaning towards Goose. May be a slow burner but he has that 80 min 2RF spot locked down and probably more chance of jagging a try than Rein would be. Plus a BE of 8 and RD13.

Seems a bit silly for the titans to play a 4 forward bench when james, wallace, and arrow are all big minute middle men. If those three played 60 mins each then that leaves 60 mins to share between the bench forwards.

Just read an article on NRL.com about TPJ and in the last couple paragraphs Alex Glenn says the main thing for TPJ is to stay humble and not get too big headed. Just IMO, maybe this could be a reason why Bennett pulled back his minutes last week along with resting his hammy. Maybe he wants to show TPJ that he can just as easily be replaced if he isn't stepping up each week.
To add to this. The more I think about it, maybe the late change to chuck TPJ on the bench and the lower minutes was because he still wasn't 100%. Surely another week of recovery down now he will be 100% and back to 40+ minutes

Lordy you'd hope so or that bench hooker needs a firecracker up his arse! If he ain't injecting enthusiasm he's injecting something!

Possibly, but is there a better option?

Yes. Yes that's it.
