They don't count missed tackles when you don't attempt or misread so badly they stroll past you. But I'll only pick up Gelling if he's named. If not, 2nd or 3rd course of action comes in

    Cook, Matterson, Sorenson, Havili
    Thompson, JMK, Hiku, Gossy

Dugan and Gossy + 100k doesn't leave me with a lot of room. Possibly to improving midrangers could come in I'm unsure.

    Thoughts chaps??

Yup, I agree with Verbal Knit - If that were my team I'd be looking to find ways to get Fifta and Taumalolo in ASAP.

I've got a feeling there will be a couple of cows popping up this week too so without looking at how Havili's price will track over the next couple weeks I'd look at Trading a combination of Havili + Thompson/JMK/RFM/Kikau for who ever you don't get this week. Within 2 weeks you should be able to add two more guns to that scoring 17.

Also, if the rumours are true re JMK to hooker there's your ready made Maloney replacement! Then you can cash out Maloney for a C upgrade!

I went Arrow last week, which worked out well despite his back spasms.
I would go Captain Arrow again this week if I knew his back was ok... maybe again next week

Only going Arrow myself to differentiate myself from my H2H lol

I agree. Gelling and Papalii left edge defence was so disgusting against Storm he would've had about 12 missed tackles if he'd actually made half an effort in first half. Kearney would not have been impressed

Is JMK a buy now with a move to hooker. He'll probably only play 60 mins though.

I'll keep an ear to the ground in regards to his back issues, if it sounds like he's ok I might go with him again.

His biggest games have been where he defends more. Can only see it being a positive for both his attack and defence. Depends how long you think he will stay there.

I am also not convinced about bringing in Origin players between now and 17 to be honest.

I was working it out in my head the other day and from memory if you are looking at a 60 point average Origin player (Smith, JTrbo for example) you could pick up a player as low as a 53 point average and still score the same with them between now and the end of round 17. The advantage with the later of course is you are paying less for the 53 point guy than the 60 point guy for the same overall output and can use that extra money else where in the mean time.

That of course doesn't answer or solve your captaincy dilemma but one could argue that right now Cook, Arrow, JTrbo, Fifita all present pretty solid C options too so you could probably live without him.

Disc: I admitted I was wrong on Cam, but I didn't have him to begin with but brought him in a few rounds ago!

What's your team man? Its all well and good for me to be anti your trade ideas but unless there's something better what Im saying means little Wink

I agree with the sentiment on Origin players. i don't think you trade them out but it also isn't a great plan to trade them in until after the byes either. And your memory is bang on, in the example you mentioned the 53 point player scores 424 to the end of byes and the 60 point player scores 420.

On that note I'd really love to know whether Aitken or Mitchell are going to end up playing Origin...

Not sure why so many are keen to get rid of Isaako. A string of home games coming up, still have $$ to make hopefully averaging 35s with a few 50s thrown in.

35s is optimistic. He has 2 scores over 35 this season. Kahu is back this week or next so might not even continue kicking (he should since he's done a good job but who knows with Wayne). Being outside Roberts is why he gets some poor scores, plus he doesn't get many attacking stats.

I think even Holland played hooker last week. Based on Pay's tactics so far he is capable of playing anyone on his bench at hooker.
