Three candidates to bring in for Gossie would be Cogger, Lane, Walker.

If I grab Cogger id have the money to perhaps bring in Taupau/Crichton for Dugan if I feel I can't keep him. Although I feel like I'm picking a level below Lolo and Fifita.

    DCE Norman
    Mitchell Isaako
    Tedesco Ponga Mbye

    Smith
    Murray
    Kikau
    JFH

    Sua
    JMK
    Haas
    Fine

Hopefully wouldn't need to trade for a few weeks after this as my bank is almost empty, thoughts?

I like it. Given how other centres have gone Isaako not a terrible option. Solid team .

Can't really bring myself to trade Gos this week with a BE of 11 and only out for 4 weeks. He's only made 87k and will make more yet (unless he doesn't come back into the 17).

Little cat amongst the pigeons this week and it's making me lean towards a trade free week. Means I'd hafta run this lot.

    Cook
    Fifita Taupau
    JFH Arrow RFM
    Maloney DCE
    Mitchell GI
    Ponga Teddy Thompson

    Smith Kikau Rein JMK

    Sorenson Dugan Gos Luai

Three red dots is a bit scary but I'll ride it for this week to see what happens. Hopefully I don't drop to far and the week gives me a bit of time to regroup and rejig my strategy.

Well that would make sense. There goes my D. Walker idea. Back to the drawing board.

Not sure they'll even be able to get Suli to play this weekend unless the offer him a fulltime contract. They definitely wouldn't be able to afford Carney.

Already posted. It wasn't last year, the year before. Played 12 games at 5/8. Taking out his goal kicking points which he won't get, averaged 34.5. Priced at 27. Plays round 13 and frees up almost 200k from Dugan. Very tempted. As my luck would have it though, they play last and Hastings could come in. Although at least he should be safe in the 17 even if just playing centre.

Hmmm.... thanks for the stats. Nothing in my price bracket is screaming out at me in the centres. Would love Marsters, but just outside my bracket.

I agree with the sentiment on Origin players. i don't think you trade them out but it also isn't a great plan to trade them in until after the byes either. And your memory is bang on, in the example you mentioned the 53 point player scores 424 to the end of byes and the 60 point player scores 420.

On that note I'd really love to know whether Aitken or Mitchell are going to end up playing Origin...

Hey Mr Analytics, just wanted to share some love back your way, for your work on some of the stats and prospectus over the years.
Big effort for anyone to invest that much time each year

The recent article on 'keepers' was great too, was 1/2 way through my own spreadsheet when i came across it today...
So literally hit the delete button after seeing it haha

It's a good read for people interested, helps put perspective on the points gain potential of bringing some players in or if they are worth of an upgrade.
Even helps just give you an understanding of bringing in say a 16 game origin player vs a 17 game non origin player.
Not counting players who may get rested after origin, but it may allow you to buy the same points output for less
    So worth a read

Much more likely than the Sea Eagles but I still don't see it. Those guys have a fair few halves on their books, if they added another one guys like JMK, Cleeland who they have wraps on and Frawley who's up for a contract would all be ready to bail.

Not that a club really cares about that, sure, but it's enough to make me wonder. Without knowing the "family reasons" it's hard to even guess as to what will happen. Maybe he'll just be lost to the game altogether.

The only trade im thinking of is Gos to Cogger to free up some cash ready to upgrade Rein. However I see your point re: Gos and a no trade week is tempting

Im quite tempted by Fonua. I read on twitter a couple of weeks ago that Lolohea isnt injured and there was other reasons for him not playing. Guy who posted it not the type to share BS

I can run this team without trading out injured players (Gos/Duges)

    Smith
    Arrow, Kikau
    Murray, RFM, JFH
    DCE, Matterson
    Aitken, Hiku
    Teddy, Ponga, Walker

    Cook, Maloney, JMK, Havili
    Thompson, Soronen, Dugan, Gos

Worth holding for a week and seeing if anything else pops up?
