    Soro to Radley, don't see the merit. Maybe Olive is a better choice, but he won't get you any points this round. Friend instead of Koro would give you $100k to actually upgrade Lamb, and get a Wade Graham or whatever if you need an 18th/19th man.

    That's honestly how I've felt this week. A lot of sideways trades to grab some points, but without the trades I have 6 playing including Gosi who may as well not be playing... If my trades look desperate it's because they are...

    Having six going into the bye is bad luck for both of you guys.

    I'm not really sure what the best strategy for you guys is here. Trades are gonna be hugely important

    Id be tempted to just get your final teams together regardless of byes?

    I need to clear something up before this post. This is in no way a dig at Liverpool Bulldog in any shape or means. Mate, I think you are one of the best contributors in this joint and generate much needed discussion about a multitude of players, which is exactly what this forum needs. I am happy to see you going so well this year and don't want anything in this post to scare you off being your regular self. But I also have an unholy devil’s pact to point out funny when I see it.

    So without further adieu, I present to you all a copy of Liverpool Bulldog’s trades and trade-in players (since Monday).

    There was suggestion that he would play NSW Cup, but he didn't.

    He trained with main team yesterday? i think it was, and has to get through captains run on Friday to play this weekend.

    Agree. Actually IMO there's enough keepers/potential keepers to bring in this round anyway. I don't see the need to go sideways/mid ranger at all.

    So guys like Fifita, Taupau, Fitzgibbon, Matterson, Tolo, Ponga I think will probably be in all the top teams by the start of this round.

    Then there are the next tier down guys like Gallen, Surgess, DCE, ARey, Walker, Dugan, MCK etc who are potentially all worth of carrying through to the end too that you can grab if you can't quite afford the top tier guys.

    An to afford 3 of the above theres several cheap downgrade options that can enable that AND who play 13: Doueihi and TMM spring to mind, but of course you could also go absolute bottom dollar and bring in a red dot, or alternatively try and take a punt of a cheapie who might play in round 17 due to Origin...

    For me the only problem I have is in choosing the combination of those 3 guns above. So far I've got Matterson, Surgess, and MCK + Doueihi but am considering Gallen instead....

    In terms of trade outs many teams are carrying the likes of JMK, JFH, Kikau, etc who all look like their time is up to be honest so as long as you;ve been planning ahead to this round and have a bit of cash in the bank the above trades should be doable.

    Thats the way Im approaching this round anyway!

    If you only have 6 going into this round then I would have thought there are a number of guns you can bring in. Why not just grab the well preformed guys and turn 6 (presumably ~350 odd points in total) into 10 (~520 points) That would put you on about par with most I reckon. Anything less and you will fall off the pace IMO and be relying heavily on making up ground in round 17. The problem with that is there aren't many guns to bring in that play 17, so you'd be going sideways to grab points there anyway, wouldn't you???

    Everyone is going to be in a similar boat mate. We have 21 players in our squads, most people will have anywhere between 3 to 7 Origin guys I'd imagine so when you add your round 13 and 17 players together people will have 14 to 18 give or take. I'd much rather have a split like you that is skewed toward round 13, cause you will actually be able to do something about that over the next 4 rounds and add to the 4 you currently have in 17.

    I currently have 12 in round 13 and 5 in 17 - so one less Origin player!

    I'll be aiming to bring in Harris, SJ, McInnes and maybe someone like Mannering + 1 or 2 cashouts who play 17 to bring that total to around 9,10 or 11.

    I think if you can manage a strategy similar to that you will move up the rankings.

    JFH --> JT13
    Havili --> Ponga
    Lamb --> TMM

    That will give me 10 players for this round with 2 keepers being brought in and 11 trades to go. It does burn my bank I was hoping to use for Cleary and SJ but with Cleary playing origin I don't think he is as pressing a buy as I was probably going to do.
