No Hodkinson for Manly means DCE likely to get goal kicking back
That's massive news for DCE owners

Can't see much wrong with Lachlan Lewis as the cashout, plays 17 JMK doesn't kick at all and they have lost Mbye who goes around 150KM a game

Frawley was the main general play kicker so those base stats are now up for grabs....

I'd expect to see Cogger (without Pearce) esque scoring from Lewis

Hiku on extended bench has given me a second option to consider. Probably best you stop reading at this point Random, youre not going to like this.

    Rd16
    Fifita > Martin
    Fonua > Cotric

    Rd17
Alvaro > James (if he looks to continue his scores)

Rd 18 > Tapine or Martin to Fifita.

Leaves my Rd 17 team as

Smith (c) James, Harris, Martin, SJ, Jcroker, Aitken, Cotric, Tapine, McInnes, Hiku (maybe)

With 4 trades left on run home.

How I'm viewing it at the moment. Nice cashout for fonua imo.

Sticking with my original trades for the round:

    Murray ---> Farah
    CThompson ---> Holland.

If Fainu goes well I will bring him in as my last cash-out after round 17.
If Lachie Lewis goes well I might bring him in next week.

Getting Farah in and getting rid of CThompson are my priorities.

    Cook (c)
    Fifita, Taupau
    Lolo, Surgess, Harris
    Johnson, DCE
    Mitchell, Inglis
    Tedesco, Ponga, Holland

    Smith, Farah, Martin, Arrow.

Upgrade Cogger to a gun WFB for next week and I am probably as close I'm gonna get to my final 17 with about 8 trades in hand and hopefully some spare cash.

Ryan Matterson was still suffering mild concussion symptoms last week, but has reportedly recovered well from minor wrist surgery. Has not been named this week, & his availability week to week will likely remain a fluid situation as treatment continues for his concussion symptoms

I think its fine so long as you have decent cover for ctr/wfb and even a spare half. No point having a strong 18th/19th point scorer if you can't fill in for an injury/suspension in the backline

If i trade Farrah for Fonua means I have to play Coggar, or Holland if I trade him in, yucky.

So...if I bring in Farah and Fainu that gives me the following hookers:

    Cook
    Smith
    McInnes
    Farah
    Fainu

Too many hookers mate. You need cover for other positions as well.

Fainu doesn't add much for me.

Can't see myself ever playing him (unless he starts scoring 50+ regularly), so would purely be a cashout, and if that is the case Lewis is probably a better bet as I'll need a reserve half before I need a reserve hooker.

Possibly aye! A few basement price cash outs have come through today which means more money available elsewhere. The teams with big salary cap, i.e. 14.3m+ will definitely be able to get decent 18 and 19th men if they chose to set their teams up that way. My cap is 14.2 and my team is most probably gonna look like this for round 16:

    Cook,
    Fifita, Taupau
    JTrbo, Arrow, Taumalolo
    SJ, DCE
    Isaako, Hiku
    Teddy, Ponga, RTS

    CamSmith, McInnes, Harris, Martin
    Gutherson, Mann, Holland, Doueihi,

So currently 17th man = Martin
    18th man = Gutherson
    19th man = Holland

But I've got a bit of cash to turn Doueihi/Mann into a mid-ranger and certainly someone I'd play ahead of at least Holland.

That being said, Im a bit light on trades so I think I'll just sit tight now and use my remaining trades as I need them to deal with injuries, suspensions, and team namings.

Can never have enough hookers. Manly have very few left and look how low morale is!
