I am 500 points ahead in my work league (could be a lot more if i hadn't been playing Captain Roulette for the last 8 rounds). I was sitting around the 300-400 overall for a long time but since this Roulette i have dropped to just outside the top 1000. My end goal is to now try and finish in the top 1000; which to me is a pass as I have previously finished well outside the top 5000 in previous years. On that same note I would like to thank everyone on this forum for their input and taking the time to lend a hand, without you guys i would probably be dragging my nuts behind sitting in 10000th spot. I remember thinking at the start of the year "these guys are shit, why the heck would they be looking at RFM to start in their squad, he has done nothing" luckily i took the plunge and got him in for RD1 and what a grab that was Smile thanks guys! looking forward to next year.

It's a pretty big gap. Would need to beat him by 30+ each week to catch him.

Would be interesting to know what his trade situation is like. He currently has Dufty and Holland in his WFB slot until Ponga returns

Id say (from no previous experience) that 200 is right on the cusp of being too far ahead. You'd assume they have a solid team already, other wise they wouldn't be No.1. Your only hope would have to be them running out of trades and going a few weeks with either super average, or no coverage.

By way of an example. Im in top 50, but my teams coverage sucks balls and I have two trades left. It would seem more likely that ill drop 200 points than make them up.

I think i am pretty safe. I will echo what LB said the other day, when people below me get arsey points like Finau. Not much research or money making yet a replacement rookie getting a 900K style score. Funny game.

30 for a lot of weeks is not impossible but doing it every week is pretty long odds.

If I elect to trade him to someone other than a centre I will have no centre coverage, which probably isn't the way to go, so I need a centre. Or, I elect to go without a centre and pray Aitken/Hoppa stay injury free. With 3 trades left, I'm not sure that's the way to go.

    Isaako > Hayne 103k left.
    Isaako > Mitchell 47k left.
    Isaako > Marsters 5k left.
    Isaako > Blake 112k left.

    Or

Similar position for me looking to replace Croker, pending results of scans.
I already have Mitchell so I haven’t looked at him.
Marsters has been ordinary the last 3 rounds, which I think is also when Mbye started at the tigers. Not sure if Mbye has had a negative impact on Marsters or not.
Hayne has looked great but is apparently playing for a contract. What concerns me is what happens to his form once he signs a contract or has a new dream.
Waqa Blake has looked great, although he can be very up and down.
So for me, if it’s a straight 1 for 1 trade, I’m probably going for Blake.
If I double trade, it’s a downgrade for Brimson and upgrade for Croker to either Ramien, Marsters, Cotric or Aitken.
I really have no idea yet. Would be lovely if someone like Yeo was given DPP this week.

I just had a quick look at his team. Everyone basically has the same forwards but it's the backs where you can catch up. A lot of his backs are out of form like SJ, Marsters, Holland (until Ponga returns). He also has Dufty who can score poorly at times although he's scored well the last couple of weeks. Also his 8 reserves aren't that flash so there's potential to grab points there.

Just had a look at a matchup with full strength teams.

    Him vs Me

    Taupau v Arrow
    James v Surgess
    ARey v DCE
    Marsters v Hoppo
    Dufty v RTS

    Crichton v Farah
    TPJ v Kikau

His EMEs are Tuala, Mann, Olive and Holland
Whereas mine are CWalker, WGraham, Lewis and Holland.

If he is out of trades then I am hopeful of catching.

All the matchups are in your favour except for A-Rey who I think will outscore DCE.

Main danger is if you captain a guy who gets injured early, get a single figure score, and they captain someone who goes for 80+. That can put a large chunk in the deficit.

Flukes like Fainu help, but you need to come up with one nearly every week if you are clawing back 200 points.

Hi Guys, long time no chat unfortunately.

Want to bring in Cook for Hess but need to downgrade either Lachlan Lewis or TMM to a cheaper cheapie preferably WFB/CTR/FRF? Thoughts?

    Cheers Guys

Also i went up 30 places from 57th to 27th after that round . Didn't think a jump that big was possible at the pointy end this late in the season.

I suppose it depends on how much cash ya need?

My first thought was get rid of TMM, but his scores lately have been quite good.

But if a toss up really.

    2018 NRL FF ELIMINATOR

So you have played with the minnows, got beat by a team called "Cats are Us" who captained Hayne. Now it's time for the big boys to come out and play.

Round 19  our annual Eliminator will kick off. But like all historical prestigious tournaments there are seedings and wild cards. The Top 112 NRL FF league ranked players at the end of Round 17 will be seeded. The remaining will be required to compete in a winner takes all 1 off qualifying round in Round 18  to make the final cut of 128.

As with all NRL FF tournaments the prizes are something money can't but. Bragging rights !!! (If only someone would sponsor us so we could offer more)

So what do you have to do ???

    NOTHING

    Just visit this thread,
    https://www.nrlfantasyfanatics.com/t720-2018-nrl-ff-eliminator
Find out who your match up is, sledge and bants before the round kicks off, then eat humble pie or stick in to them till the next round is posted.
Remember the winner gets the glory of 12 months of being identified as the NRL FF Eliminator champion.

Each week we will post the upcoming match ups and at the conclusion of the round the winners.

Hey fellas, would anyone be able to have a quick look over my team? Unsure what moves to do.

    I have 5 trades left, 351k ITB. Not liking Brown, TTurbo and SJ. Obviously can't trade them all out. Team atm;

    Smith
    Fifi Arrow
    Martin Lolo Brown
    SJ DCE
    Aitken Tuala
    Cotric Teddy TTurbo

    Farah Cook McCullough McInnnes
    Kikau Fainu Lewis Cogger

Need to ship Tuala. Need to allow one trade for Ponga, which will ship Tuala and move Cotric into centres. Keen on getting JTrbo, also eyeing RTS for TTurbo and a replacement for SJ if he continues to shit the bed, leaving me with two trades for injuries and what not. Thoughts and suggestions? Thanks in advance!
