Interesting article on alleged rigging by the 2008 official stats provider for the NRL.

Anyone remember who was doing it? NRLStats by any chance? My God that site will always hold a special place in my heart (unless this is proven...)

Thanks Chewie. I could do with a bit of luck this round.
Quiet around there today. Im tossing up between my centres (wink wink). Gone with Mitchell to smoke Aitken and Cotric to see more ball this week. Got captain Smith vs Zora's Cook

It doesnt really say anything though.
I remember around this time that a bunch of us on a punting forum made a fuckload of cash from top tackle and top run metre markets. The books were completely new to it and too slow to change markets/adjust prices based on teamlists etc. It was with centrebet at the time mostly if i recall correctly. Eventually they just stopped offering the markets after about two months.
This may of been later than 2008 though. Might try figure it out.
When i say "made a fuckload".. i was betting around $100 per bet.. so not much really. Some of the other guys were 1k, 2k bet amounts etc.

I have the same 3 ctr choices & playing Mitchell & Aitken over Cotric. The Roosters did let in 4 tries v Manly so I'm hoping Aitken gets a bit of that. I think the Storm at home will thrash the Raiders with little return for Cotric. I also think they will hit the Leipana edge more often on attack with Croker not there so I don't see Cotric getting more ball.

Good to see last night the mighty Bulldogs actually playing as a team. It's probably their best team performance of the season. What's better is they did the Warriors a favour by beating Wests. It's now up to the Warriors to beat the Titans to take advantage of Wests losing.

Paseka will be phucked after 5 minutes so big Marty will be on very quickly. This is the first time Paseka would of started & he's used to coming on when the opposition are tired. There's a big difference between starting or coming off the bench. In fact this could suit Taupau even more when he comes on against tired defenders.

Was taupau bad last week? I didnt watch that game.
Makes no sense as a tactical decision. Even if you were gonna bring him on at 20 mins to play out the game.. you need taupau on the field to start the game

I agree 100%. Taupau wasn't bad last week it's just that the Roosters started on fire & had Manly on the back foot & doing a lot of defense for the first 20 odd minutes so Taupau never had many of his trademark hit-ups.
