Based on what we have seen so far, they have either changed the scoring slightly, or changed how they calculate starting prices. With the site launching next week I wasn't planning on spending too much time speculating on it

Doing it again, can't look past Surgess in the front row, priced at 45 a down year for Slammin' Sam

Lowest avg in the 5 years prior is 51. Dual. Thanks

Remember when Moylan was f/b at Panthers. He didn't get many kick return mtrs because he always offloaded to Munster. He didn't want to get the bash.
Barba wait & see. New team, from esl, new spine, combinations gelling, etc. Even the mighty Tedesco took half a season before he was away running. Barba is no Teddy.
I have both D. Edwards & Watson in my team. Panthers & Knights good early draws & both Edwards & Watson will capitalise. However my 3rd wfb is B. Morris. He's like a placeholder but he'll be on the end of the best backline in the nrl so he could get some tries so I could keep him.

Barba's priced at 37.2. At the sharks he averaged 41.5. They won the comp that year. Could he do even better at the Cowboys? I hope so, but could be a stretch. Not quite keeper territory. I hope I'm wrong about that.

If I go without Teddy to start, I'll be grabbing Watson

Surely you won’t be going without Teddy this year Welshy. If I’ve learnt anything over my three years playing fantasy, it’s that going without him is a dangerous decision

Can't see it mate, would probably bypass JHughes and get Watson in over him and still grab Teddy

There's a lot of talent at WFB though at that mid price. I like Edwards, Hughes, Mansour, Watson and Brimson. Others are suggesting Barba and Moylan. And that's before whatever cheapies pop up come TLT. Edit: Borris and Meaney are there too and maybe GI.

    McCullough
    Tolman, Surgess
    Muray, Gillett, Stimson
    Morgan, Cleary
    Lomax, Capewell
    Tedesco, Watson, Edwards

    Mahoney
    Sorenson
    Harris-Tavita
    Rookie Eels half

    Vete
    Other rookie Eels half/Ctr
    $212
    $212

I like the spread in that team, might be lacking some top level firepower, if there are some rookie halfs starting like planned I like likely go with starting one of them and dumping Cleary for Arrow, extra dpp would be a big help, so would probably start with that

Very strong starting 13. When I brought up Surgess everyone informed me that he was a has-been which I came to agree with. If Sorensen doesn’t start, Bukuya will so that’ll be an easy swap. Looking at CHT’s stats, he likes a missed tackle to be honest so I see a little risk in having him in the 17.

Arrow or Macca in that scenario, Murray a week or so into season if playing 80 on edge or 60/65 at lock

Does CHT kick goals? I thought I read that somewhere?

Start of season so 4 reserves will be mainly hit and hope mate

I've had real slow fantasy starts loading up with forwards who start the season slow, guns scoring high 30s/40s

This year I'm going WFB heavy, hoping one or two will bang out a huge score to start season and cover a lighter packs 40s
I see plenty of upside in Stimson/Gillett/Murray/Sorenson to play well above their avg and there's a few more around them with potnetial to match if they don't line up starting R1, so as you say mate easy swaps

Issue is early captain choice as HB alluded to

I think he was carrying an injury wasn't he? Can't remember what it was though, ongoing back or something else. I still want to try and get him into my team though.
