If Sorensen doesn’t start, Bukuya will so that’ll be an easy swap. Looking at CHT’s stats, he likes a missed tackle to be honest so I see a little risk in having him in the 17.
Bloody hell - he missed 17 tackles in his first 14 games last year. Pretty respectable
Then missed 35 tackles in his last 6 games. What went wrong? He was named at five-eighth every week.
He shared goal kicking duties with Mason Lino last year

Speaking of Brodie Croft. Lots of people (me included) were big on Croft this time last year
He killed us by averaging 26 in the first 5 rounds
Came back and played 7 more games throughout the year for an average of 53.
Assuming he gets the starting halfback gig anyone tempted to get back on him

Was just looking through the stats, Nat Butcher is going to be a beast when he gets a regular first grade spot. Averaging 55 fantasy points in ISP in 65 minutes at lock. One to watch for the future.

Re: 2019 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 2
Kotoni Staggs is another averaging 52 at center, if he ever gets a start should be money
David Fifita averaging 55
Corey Allan a surprisingly low 32 average, given all the hype around him.

Tempting, but hard to have him at $561k when you can have proven guys like Gutho (dual) at $477k and Morgan at $450k

{Insert Why Not Both Gif}
I won't be however touching Croft
He did have his confidence back back end of year and is a decent shout to progress this year
With Slater last year at seasons start, seemed like the old guard were bypassing him and trying to run everything through themselves and he just seemed to be playing on very little confidence

Why is Gutherson so tempting? His scores last year hardly set the world on fire, and he is priced that way for a reason.
Take away goalkicking from his 2017 scores and they were similarly uninspiring.
It's a no from me.
Morgan looks to be great value with Thurston retired, in 2017 he averaged 60 points with TMM as his halves partner. I assume he'll be in a tonne of teams

Thats the trouble with these rookie halves they gonna have big bodies running at them all game. Potential to rack up the missed tackles. And not being the dominant half wont get the base stats from plenty of kms.
Just need to hope they get some attacking stats.
Still keen to have CHT is my squad but not in my starting 17

Rabbit wrote:If Pritchard is still hanging around, I don’t understsnd the Mahoney talk. I like the warriors HB. If they let SJ and Lino both go, he must be highly though of. Also, Tevega surely plays a more prominent role this year....looks like a good fantasy prospect. Pearce hasn’t been talked about much, but with Ponga and Watson running off him, he’s my first picked.
They definitely rate both of them, but neither were supposed to be playing first grade this year. The Warriors butchered the SJ thing, they weren't planning to be without him this year initially. Unless there are other options Im guessing one of them will be a must have but I'm not expecting much! Perhaps a cow that makes a bit but will be an early trade out.

Another cheapy is Morgan Harper ctr Bulldogs. Previously in the development squad he's has been promoted to the top 30 squad. Although he probably won't start there are 2 scenarios that could play out - (a) W. Hopoate, Holland ctr & Meaney f/b or (b) Holland, Harper ctr & W. Hopoate f/b. I expect the Bulldogs to start with option (a) but Harper was talked up by J. Morris as his replacement before he left. There is a (c) option that Harper starts on the wing but R. Smith will have 1 wing spot & the other has Montoya, C. Crichton competing & I can't see Harper in front of those 2.

Holland is one of interest for those who like to spend a bit on centres. Priced at 30.4 but average 45.2 as a start

The only reason I won't have him is because of the cheap halves it looks like were going to have this year.Milchy wrote:Speaking of Brodie Croft. Lots of people (me included) were big on Croft this time last year

Cotric has said he has been training primarily at wing this off-season and apparently Oldfield is the front runner to get the 1 gig

Arrow sounds switched on this year. Has said he is going to stay away from alcohol on the weekends and manage his body a lot better. He said he is the only one who hasn’t missed a minute of training and feels great after a full pre season. Also said he wants to be the leader that everyone looks up to and wants to take the carry in tough times. I also love arrow, he is making himself very tempting.

A recent quote from Cook..."Bennett wants me to keep my style of play & wants me to add a few things, take pressure off the halves, control the middle a bit more & controlling the game."

So wait... Arrow himself has declared that he is training the house down?

I know. It’s a revelation. Come straight from the horses mouth so must be true. I am quite tempted on him. Hopefully those lacklustre scores have dropped his price a little. Might have to pair with Murray and stimmo in 2rf with lil pap on the bench
