Re: 2019 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 5
@welshy like the team mate. I think this year teams are looking very skinny on the bench. Last year teams had the likes of CS9, Friend both on the bench. Is Fainu expected to pick up bench spot for manly? Will this make Koro a no go? Was on fire before his injury. Of those you have said I would go ofa if he gets lock. Priced at 43 and expected to get 50+ so definitely most value and if he gets lock does that mean he goes dpp as 2RF/FRF ??

Hopo
Salmon
Ravalawa/Lomax
$761,000 to get anyone else in? Who would you go for?
Currently looking at
Surgess for DPP cover
JFriend
Matterson
Kikau
Joe Ofa
or go elite WFB ala TTurbo and move Lomax/Rava to bench
Surgess the practical pick, but really liking the thought of 3 gun WFB's this year. I have Turbo atm, but you're not interested in Drinkwater or Watson and using the 150k saved on him elsewhere? Both risky I know, but I'm more than likely taking the gamble on both of them.

Just had a look at Egan, and all I can say is I hope Katoa doesn’t nab a spot on the bench. In his only 80min stint he scored 49 with 47 tackles and with his 20 odd minutes games he goes close to a tackle a minute. Could be good money maker there, plus I remember last year hearing something about how they think he is a really good player and future long term rake.

Egan has the jump for the starting spot, but it sounds like Katoa will be on bench.

It's a bit mid heavy with potential for my usual liking, but I can see alot of value this year and start of season is a crap shoot sometimes with guns starting slow.
If that image of the donkeys starting side is true I'm not sure I want either but i just cant see Pangai starting on the pine, Gillett will be in for me but i need to see how he goes in trials now
To me TPJ is the next fantasy Fifita, just needs the consistent time on the park, because the kid isn't just explosive, he works as well
Fainu too good to be dropped completley so Koro would worry me

Need to hope he goes for 60/20 split then, because with just tackles will need the higher consistent minutes to post 35s/40s to make some real moneymy tv broke wrote:Egan has the jump for the starting spot, but it sounds like Katoa will be on bench.

Re: 2019 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 5
At the moment I have chopped and changed my team a lot but for now I keep coming back to something like this
Macca
TPJ Offa(hopefully DPP)
Murray Stimson Arrow(c)
Croft Morgo
Capewell Bird
Turbo Drinkwater Lomax
Egan, Twal(TLT), Watson(good HLF,WFB DPP), Keighran(kicking)
Haas, Brown, Garrick, Allan(could swap with Lomax if gets FB)
66K itb.
I see a bunch of potential in this team and all should make money. I feel Arrow will be too 3 scoring 2RF this year

You have no cover for either prop or 2rf so Surgess kind of picks himsel from that list, unless you turn some of your base price backs into Burr/Haas etc.
I like this Rhino, the cover of a Haas although not what I want would allow me to broaden the horizons and go WFB heavy like the wise old man suggests. I really like Watson and Drinkwater could be a steal and leave me cash overs. guess I'm still looking for value in my picks, mght be better going Turbo and banking trades at the backSI wrote:

I do really like IPap mind, especially if he plays lock. Potential semi gun and saves a fair bit of bank over some of the other Surgess/Ofa/Matterson etc etc

I like the spread. Not sold on Bird but plenty of potential. and can't see Twal holding that lock role with lack of FR behind Matulino/Packer. Eisenhuth/Taylor fighting him for it
I could go Croft over Munster and give myself another $100,000. I like it mate

How good is it watching a game of footy in 60 minutes?
