What? He is on 450k a year? Talk about overs.Your Name wrote:I posted twice because this 2 bit (yep another bad pun) forum didn't show my post then when I tried to submit a second time - oh fuck it I don't need to explain myself to you plebs.
As for price, I posted it before the deal was announced.
2 year deal $450K a year, $200K from Souffs.

Your Name wrote:Tim Grant along with Brenton Lawrence were offered $250k per season for 2 years / we could only afford one. Manly were reluctant to subsidise approx. $100k per season for Lawrence, Souths were /are on the verge of $200k per season subsidy for Grant - one of the major stumbling blocks is that Grant does not want to play under Ivan Cleary who dropped him to NSW Cup at Penrith.
.
What this bloke said. He really knows his shit.
Seems Manly are paying Brenton Lawrence $350K and Souffs were paying Grant $450K

Tigers are only paying the $250k a year so I assumed both years when told or Grant has agreed to take a $200K pay cut the 2nd year. Depends on how long he had left on his Souffs contract I guess.

He the fuck did he end up on $450k? If we end up paying over $250k for him we've been duded again.

I don't think that he's a great signing either but I think he's worth every cent of $250k/year - ESPECIALLY when it means that we don't have to play stinky slow Jack Buchanon!

I don't mind him at 250k, it just baffles me that he ended up on 450 at Souths. My faith in Concords recruitment isn't exactly sky high at the moment.Floor Pie wrote:

"Wests Tigers have today advised that General Manager of Football Operations, Phil Moss, is no longer with the organisation."
Most shocking thing about this statement is that the club refers to themselves as an "organisation"...

Re: Wests Tigers 2016 Thread
Someone posted this on the Tigers Forum today
"At yesterdays meeting I asked Taylor who would be first choice goal kicker. He doesn't want Moses kicking because of leg problems and his already heavy general kicking load. He said both Hunt and Rankin were the best goal kickers in the club and that at this stage he expects Jordan to play wing"
I can't see why Taylor would divulge this information to a nobody so take it with a grain of salt. Regardless of how you look into it, Taylor's still a knob.

Re: Wests Tigers 2016 Thread
going by JT;s past logic (or lack thereof) if one of them kicks at 75% and the other kicks at 83% and there is absolutely nothing between them after the trials come round 1 selection time he would pick the 75% kicker....just because

Re: Wests Tigers 2016 Thread
I find your lack of faith disturbing.
There was an issue between Moss & Pascoe back at Penrith, it didn't improve when Pascoe got the CEO role at the Tigers over Moss when Moss had been here for years doing his time. Fair to say he expected to be given the job.
As for JT he would only pick the 78% kicker if he was playing out of position.

I cant remember how good Rankins kicking was TBH but surely he would select a player who will make the top 17 each and every week for some consistency, no point chopping and changing your goal kicker throughout the season especially when your side will struggle to score points in the first place.

Re: Wests Tigers 2016 Thread
I've never seen him play, but just checking the Tigers forum, apparently he wasn't going to make the NSW Cup side to start the year so spat the dummy and went somewhere where he thought he had a better pathway to the NRL.
He did have some wraps on him, but must be doing something wrong at training if he isn't deemed good enough for our NSW Cup team.
edit:
Just did some more checking. Him and Watson Heleta are both from Keebra Park, and have both have done pretty well in U20s. Seve spent a lot of last year injured, and looks like that has hampered his chances a bit, and he's now down the pecking order. Best of luck to him though, he wouldn't be the first player to excel after leaving the Tigers.
