I honestly hope he goes. No disrespect, he had a great year for us last year.
Nate Roache, Sam Cook, Jazz Tevaga... imho we've got the players who are capable of stepping up.
The one thing would be the loss of experience. Losing Johnson, Mannering and Luke all in one off-season could either be devastating or a clean slate for us to push onwards and upwards from.
I liked the look of that Lawton too im not sure if hes still there though

Priced at 30 points I’m not sure he will be able to excel much past that, maybe 5 points underpriced? Happy to be proven wrong, plus plenty of other options 140k cheaper who imo have the same potential as him.
Just wanted to point out that Meaney is in fact priced at 24. For his 4 games at fullback he scored 48, 27, 45 & 14 for an average of 33.
Enough to make some decent cash if he replicates that. Give him time to establish himself and you'll see him blossom IMO. Good young player.

Is it just me or are they are trying to say that the Warriors are only paying Isaac Luke 150k this year?
I bet SJ knew that too and thought why would I bleed for this club this season if they are going to screw me like that next year too

Yep, a lot of mids and a few potential base priced Cows. Turbo was in my earlier team, may sneak him back in as I think he can only get better, but he is out at the moment. With all the mids it's like Turbo is in a new dreaded price range. Not a definite Gun, but priced higher than the potential mid ranger crop of Guns.

Is there the thought that SJ was getting a pay cut? Surely they had the Cap to have paid him what he is worth so not sure if there was talk of it over there. Warriors seem to be one of the best at managing their money. I can't remember what happened this morning to be fair, but I thought Luke signed for 500 odd when he went there?

Kind of pisses me off how they've treated Luke. Straight up b.s... If he leaves, good on him. Warriors going for the spoon (I'm a Warriors supporter)

It shows that there a quite a few cows available, but they do not yield the same ROI
The aim is to get those that make enough $$$ to make it worth keeping them in your team.

Not his biggest fan, but they got him over there on good dollars so if that 150k figure is true for this season (doesn't sound right though) then that is just ridiculous. In saying that, you have a couple of decent up and comers screaming out to start.

Maybe it's smart to jump on the quick money makers early on and dropping some of the slow burners.
But on the other hand I remember selling Isaako way too early in the season and I missed out on a fair bit of $$$ by being impatient

After seeing your profile pic, Ramesh mentioned that Sanjay thought all of you maybe worked in the same Call Centre together? But then Ramesh said, and this is his words not mine "That those Wookiee's all look the same".
I've referred it to HR, just a heads up for you mate before you get the email in the morning.

The story is 100% accurate. He did originally sign on big dollars but after falling well and truly short during that time agreed to a pay cut to stay there. There was a part stating that he could sign elsewhere if offered something better, at the time of his renewing he wasn’t wanted anywhere. (Not for the price of leaving his homeland anyway)

Will start a new thread over the weekend for discussion on entry and prize breakdown. For those who weren't in it, this is how we ran it last year:
-$50 buy in
-ended up at $1650 total prize pool
-MTB took home $850 of our hard earned, and deservedly so after his one man nrlfantasy.com.au site worked better then the official one
-DK took the runner up $400; Russ the $200 3rd prize; and Milchy with the $200 Weekly
-entry by PayPal which means it's a safe transfer
-happy to set up the same or shake it up depending on the vox pop
It would be great to get things up in the 2k or 3k zone this year whether by increased numbers or increased stake. A $1000 plus first prize would be awesome!!!
Feel free to throw some ideas around now or wait till the new thread is running.
I will be back to go one better. Think how it worked last year was pretty spot on.

I think it’s to his credit, I don’t think that badly of the Warriors for doing it either. Luke has been able to immerse himself in his culture and surround himself with family, worth much more than cash to some. The Warriors need a premiership, they need to be smart with every penny in order to build a roster worth winning one, not paying overs for players is a good start. The option is there for Luke should he decide to take it so I really don’t see the issue.

I think the Warriors roster is average at best this year and I can't see where they are spending their 9.5 million if someone like Luke is on 150k after taking Mannering and Johnson out. Again, I'm not a fan of his, but they must have some decent cash in reserve if that's the case. The alternative is they are deadset paying overs to a few others. Didn't Beale sign for 350k a year or something? Or are they allowed to hold money over for next year?
