Think I'm leaning towards Gun/Cow with Pearce for a POD

Are you bypassing M Morgan or considering him as a gun.. or a cow?

Halves are a tricky one for me. After 2 or 3 years in a row of trying to pick value there and failing, I really wanted to just start with at least one gun (DCE) this year. But the value in Morgan and Brown/Keighran.....

I dont think I will have a cow in my starting half. For me that looks like potentially one of the biggest PODs around the way most teams are shaping up. Dont consider Morgan a Cow either by the way. Cows for me have to be sub $300k give or take.

It says they still haven't hit the cap and other than Fifita, Moylan, Dugan, and Johnson. I doubt many other guys are on big contracts.

Woods, Graham, Townsend, Buyuka and Prior wouldn't be on peanuts i reckon

Apparently Graham is on 750k. I could see Bukuya being cheap because he went for the stint to the warriors for a year. Like I am not saying they don't have guys who would hit that mid-level paycheck but certainly guys that aren't breaking the bank.

    Kearney on Roache:
"He's had a tough run Nate. He's a real athlete, pretty highly strung. If I'm using a car analogy, between a Datsun or a Ferrari, he's certainly the latter."

Remember the time we had CHN the Tulip? flower

Well now we have Roache the Ferrari

Broncos team for this weekend. As close to full strength as we can get except for Milford and TPJ. Broncos website says Milford has a hamstring issue.

    The site also says:

"Gillett is one of several edge second rowers the Broncos have in their squad, and coach Anthony Seibold has spoken of players performing dual forward roles.

It seems Gillett will get the first crack at that as he starts in the middle against the Titans, with Alex Glenn and youngster David Fifita in the second row."

    BRONCOS NRL TEAM

    1. Darius Boyd (c)

On the Broncos side what do we make of Ofa being named at 10? Seibold said in an earlier statement that Lodge, TPJ and Ofa will be in the middle come round 1 but with this news of dual forward roles does this change anything, mostly minutes wise?

I think Ofa was always going to be named as prop. TPJ will be #13.

Siebold has said previously that doesn't consider the middle roles any different from each other anyway.

Guessing minutes at this stage, is really just a guess, unless Siebold decides to clear that up before round 1 for us fantasy nerds. I may have to pass on TPJ though, hammy issues worrying me.

If the order of players means anything (probably doesn't), then Flegler might be about to win a bench spot for round 1. I really hope that is the case, he looks like a weapon.

The dual forward roles comment makes David Fifita a lot more appealing, I think he gets the minutes to become relevant.

So if TPJ comes back in, does Su'A drop out? and 1 of Gillette, Glenn, DFifita back to the bench?

    Chris Garry
    @ChrisGarry7
Matt Gillett at lock for final trial. He is a genuine option at 13 long term for the club.

It makes sense really. Dave Fifita is young, but will have to play a starting edge role for close to 80, sooner or later. And if they want to keep Su'A around as well, then 3 can't fit into two.

I think TPJ and Lodge will be starting FR. Seibold said they are the leaders of the pack and will be leading the youth into the future (in my own words. Gillette may get the Lock spot and Ofa could share some time in the middle. The thing that bothers me is where does Su'a fall in the combination and how does the (dual forward roles) work. I dont think there'll be an 80 minute edge role on offer but possibly for someone like Glenn or Defeater could spend 50 on an edge and 15-20 in the middle? Makes me want to stay away from the pack this year but there is so much value in guys like Gillette, TPJ, Ofa, Defeater if they get the right role
