Good offload, showed it in the trials

Yes it is really surprising. Normally the biggest pool of cows to choose from in that position

Haven’t seen it anywhere on NRL and what not but local 7 news says Nene McDonald was handed a suspension (from the trial game) due to turning up to training late.

Completely confused myself by flipping Teddy for Hughes and being amazed at the extra options the 300k gave me.

Yeah - while I do agree with MS, there isn't really anyone available at WFB, at basement price, that I could trust. I don't really want to rely on Lomax or Ravalawa there, whoever gets the gig in round 1 might be back to reserve grade by round 3. Same goes for someone like Sivo (who doesn't appear to be in the reckoning anyway). Same goes for Allan (I won't be picking him regardless).

I tinkered with a 212k at WFB and it just made me uncomfortable. And then, its almost impossible to have cover in case they go bust.

I always said that as soon as Slater retired Hughes would be one of my first picked. As I posted in the last thread a few games at the back end of the year didn't inspire me with confidence. Although, I do think he is a gun and might run with him.

If Garner gets the second row spot, I'll probably run with him too. Liked what I saw in the trials and he shouldn't really have much competition until Lawrence returns.

I saw the stats were posted from the mounties trial, the gh does a running written commentary if anyone is interested in digging through (it's obviously going to be biased)
    It starts here
Also footage of the tries Here. Not sure if this was already shared. Found it interesting that the mounties team was essentially a trial for the forwards and horsburgh and Guler were the starting props.

Anyone have any numbers on Kahu at fullback

Pretty sure he’s never really had a crack there but a goalkicking fullback at his price behind the best pack in the league should just about be first picked.

I think people have some scars from him but I’m not sure how as he’s never been a fantasy selection proposition that I can remember until this year.

He’s no superstar but he’s a DPP priced like a Cartwright or Bird so he’ll do me

    I had a look, all I could find were the first 4 games of 2015 where he went 17, 30, 48(try, 1lb, 2ta, 2lba), and 29 (1ta, 1lba, 1ts). No goal kicking.

Not the most impressive scores especially the 48 with all those extras, but with some goal kicking he may be more consistent.

I've been a fan of Kahu for a long time, he had a lot of hype around him as a teenager so I always wanted him to succeed (as many Broncos fans did).

He just doesn't have the game to be terribly fantasy relevant, in my opinion. He may average well enough to make some cash, but I think he goes closer to 25 average long term, than 30. Goal kicking may just be enough to help him make some cash.

I may end up shoving him into the last WFB spot, if I'm not able to afford better, but I'll be trying to avoid him.

Who knows, maybe the move to the Cows will re-invigorate his game, especially knowing his role is secure.

I assume the infamous Mounties 8 that scored 100+ was Horsborough?

"Could not quite see the try scorer, lots of bodies in motion"

What was the update guy watching? Even I know it was 'Mounties 8' that scored the try.

I assume the centurion was Horsburgh based on the comments though

Speaking of the Mounties side, Dunamis Lui has finally turned up (was named on the bench for the Mounties)..

Well the only two tries were scored by the hooker and by a guy with 15 on his back, so unlikely that was horsburgh if he was starting. According to that gh commentary Lui was in 15. Either he went massive (although comments suggest otherwise) or the stats are a bit muddled and they combined some into one

If Horsburgh was 8, the Emre Guler was 10, and scored 55 with 178m, 47 tackles, and - 18 in negatives (5 kissed tackles, 2 errors and 2 penalties)

Looking at the Sharks side what will be the bench make up:

    I assume:

    Fifita Brailey Prior
    Capewell Nikora
    Gallen

    Flanagan/Brailey/Sege
    Woods
    Bukuya
    ?

Doesn't make sense to have Sorensen in this last bench spot does it if Bukuya can cover.
Will Jack Williams get a look in as the heir replacement to Gallen?
Or wil Uele get a spot?

I like the numbers that Jack Williams puts up and only takes an injury to Gallen and he could be starting?

Thanks very much for that. Weirdly doesn’t dent my confidence, mainly because I think there’s 8pts  from goals. If he can add that to a 30ish avg I’m more than happy

Why would you not consider him at centre mate?

I think that is a joke of a position and I’ll take 30-38 right now on one of those 2 slots!
