Yeah something was amiss there, but the commentary was raving at his work rate. The little hooker got over for a try, he was Mounties 9 and the guy that scored a try wasnt a red head and wasnt wearing 8.

And I’m sitting wide-afucking-wake with jet lag in a Toronto hotel room. It’s minus 10 outside so I can’t even go for the standard “walk around a new city until you’re exhausted enough to sleep” routine.

So I’ll duck in to Assistant Coach too, and I guess another team... this time from players who start with the first 7 letters of the alphabet.

Man, still more than 3 hours until breakfast....

Just catching up on the thread. I hadn't really considered Garner at all before the Claw news. I had a bit of a dig into his playing history and stats and he doesn't seem to be a bad option, and he comes at a budget price.

Avoiding Allan seems like a solid plan, not least as he may not start.

I started with Harris last year. He was one of my better POD picks, had a good run

I agree, he is one of those players that might get a run if there is an injury or suspension, which could be soon enough

Seriously tempted to start Lomax/Kahu in the CTRs. Means I can sneak a gun half in like Cleary.

Souths right side will be Reynolds, Surgess, Inglis, Gagai.

Not sure what will happen left side, but would expect Campbell Graham to be there, maybe the coveted left wing, with maybe Burns at center?

Maybe with that line up on the right, that will become the go-to side anyway.

Ok, so a team that starts with letters A to G actually looks ok. Was interesting to look at some different options, and it meant that I feel a bit less cookie-cutter in setting it. But it is still pretty damn cookie - maybe the last 7 letters of the alphabet will be better....

Being a bit tougher with the A-G rules (surname only) makes the team less pretty. And I don’t think it forced me to consider useful outside options... except Afoa and Glasby. Afoa did look the goods in trials... FWIW:
