NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 10

I've been thinking about my captain in round 1 since I decided to get rid of Cook who would of been a set & forget captain. Now I have a group of 3-4 players that could go off or not so much. But I'm thinking there's never a better chance to go with someone like RTS in round 1. My logic being the gun forwards are playing their first game & won't post a monster score because they are not 100% match fit & some gun back like a half or wfb could just as easily score a couple of tries. Remember when Radradra had that record of scoring a hat trick of tries in the first game in either 2 consecutive seasons or it could of been 3 consecutive seasons.
Haha after I wrote that about Radradra I remembered when those cunning people or you could call them cheats realised that the lock out hadn't occurred
on time & they were able to transfer Radradra into their team after the game started.

The thing with SJ with me is I am a little concerned he will get more injury prone as he ages. He missed a few games here and there last year and that is the kind if thing that annoys the hell out of me with a keeper.

Fifi played either 80 or close to it in the all stars game and killed it. Played first 40 of the trial as well and killed it. I don’t think he will need any time to get match fit, he already is. Fifi (C) on him all year for mine. He will be playing big minutes this year! Plus Morris loves him.

Definitely mate he's a great captaincy option.

Yeah, Im trying to force Fifi into my team at the mo but it is causing balance issues. I want my 3 hookers so I'm 90k short. Whatever I do it ends up being shit

Will Wighton do much kicking? If not, does Sezer come of value? I'd guess not, because he never has been relevant..

Just looking at Wighton's 10 games (majority in 2014) at half paired with Campese he averaged 215kms per game (3 games with 300+) so I don't think Sezer will have it all his way in the kicking department.

if you don't have Cook, then Fifita, Smith, Arrow Taupau are all possible captaincy options. Maybe McCullough/Friend too

If you were deciding between Tedesco or a gun half (Cleary, SJ, DCE, maybe Munster) which way do you go?

Basically looking at some contingency plans in case Stimson (on the bench) isn't an option

(1) Current - Tedesco + Stimson
(2) Hughes + Munster
(3) B Morris + Gun Half (allows me to move Keighran/Brown out of starting line up)
(4) B Morris + Gun FWD (Taupau)
(5) Hughes + Lower Gun FWD (Frizell/Surgess)

Hey milchy, I’m with you on those picks, even Murray as a cheeky against Sydney. Rabbits will want to go hard. Arrow is undervalued by 6 or 7 points I reckon. They finally have a decent pack which I think will help him. Plus he is fit and firing.

I reckon Fifita v Knights looks like a great captaincy option

Knights with a massively improved pack and Fifita will want to prove himself against it (particularly Klemmer) + he always gets phantom TBs

How the Hell has Cartwright made it into my 18-21

I’m going with Crichton as my captain. Should be pretty good for 30 odd tackles 130 odd metres and a chance of crashing over from a short ball. He also breaks tackles for fun and will be up for a big one verse the old club

I perceive Crichton and perhaps Murray to be a better captain option then Arrow and Taupau. Why I am wrong?

I do agree to some extent, but I think the better argument would be to look at the kick metres of his halves pairing at the time. Its not like Green sees that SJ is out and still continues to play the exact same role beccause thats the way he has trained, got to give him more credit than that- he knew he was the man to step up and take ownership in the halves.

Disappeared in all those key moments? That’s like blaming hunt for the GF drop when it was his form that got them there. 
The warriors are in all sorts without SJ this year.
