I'm sure I'll get a completely different answer if I were to ask this tomorrow, as the opinions seem to shift daily, but looking at mid-range forwards... I'm happy with my team but need to lock in the last forward.

    - Papali'i (should step up this year, Warriors fan so biased)
    - Gillett (unsure about injury recovery but price looks good)
    - Lane (great last year but can he keep it up? Too reliant on tries?)
    - TPJ (again, great last year - but injured too frequently?)

Alternatively I could bring in either Surgess or Arrow but haven't heard much talk about either of them lately.

Biggest problem with Scorgasms Bronco scenario is that Gillett has a shit passing game. He’s tackler and ball runner. Murray has been a ball player his entire career. Union background. If that is Siebold’s plan, it will fail. Gillett is no link man.

I’m passing on Mahoney. After a long deliberation, I can get a better side leaving him out. Don’t ask why, just a gut feeling. Reverse pod

James or Arrow....and why. I’m looking at James as being the better option. Arrow’s minutes worry me.

Agreed that Gillett isn’t close to the same ball player as Murray but he is the best of the limited options Seibold has. That attacking structure was a huge part of their go forward getting quick play the balls out wider that allowed Cook to be so effective

The consensus here is that in the 2nd half of last year, Arrow suffered due to niggling rib injuries. Being fit and over it now he should be able to revert to his early 2018 form.

May or may not eventuate, but that is the thinking that has everyone here jumping on him

I’ve taken Arrow and I don’t think it’s particularly close. If James was playing as a middle it’s more of a comparison but on the edge he tends to put up poor scores

Edge players tend to score slightly poorer than the good middles. Of the 10 ‘forwards’ to average 50 plus the only edge players were Crichton and Rhys Martin

Guy who has shown a bit of popularity here that I am not keen on is RTS. Just don't see where the extra points are going to come from

No SJ means he'll be a lot more involved in the ball playing near the try line and should do more roaming whereas last year he was basically restricted to the left side next to Green. Saw it a bit in the trials, I think he had a couple of try assists.

Seems like Brennan settled on Arrow as a 50 minute lock at the back end of the year, after he was over his injuries and the Titans were going OK. James plays middle and edge, for as long as Brennan can leave him out there. He’s also more durable and doesn’t play Origin. * plus he’s dpp.

Nobody is talking about Arrow cause everyone has him and is keeping him. He's locked in

I'm not interested in Arrow when you can get Tolo or Crichton for not much more. Um-ed and ah-ed a lot about McCullough too, but 50/50 he makes my team.

James is going to play edge, not prop this season, so you should consider that when picking him

No one's talking about Arrow because everyone has him already and has no intention of removing him. Get him in.

The stats from Arrow show he has a higher ceiling in games without tries.

Arrow’s top 4 scores without tries: 65 points in 59 minutes, 66 points in 65 minutes, 73 points in 56 minutes and 74 points in 80 minutes
James’ top 4 scores without tries: 51 points in 63 minutes, 53 points in 69 minutes, 64 points in 80 minute and 65 points in 80 minutes. These games were all at prop which he will not be playing to start the year.
